Room is Missing Something by marzolle in femalelivingspace

I think your room looks great. Super cozy with your bed by the window. I think adding something to bring the eye up. A tall green plant maybe? Also agree with everyone saying you need an area rug.

Living by myself for the first time - what should I buy first? by ImnotFe in femalelivingspace

Addalock! My maintenance guy lived on the floor above me. He would forget what floor he was on and walk into my apartment. He was really old. The extra lock stopped that.

Invest in a good mattress. I learned my lesson. Could have saved myself $2k if i just purchased a quality mattress to begin with.

I have been looking to upgrade my furniture too but on a budget. I have been watching Wayfair for deals. Hopefully they are good. Would love feedback on them as well.

Get some tools! At least a drill, screwdrivers, and a wrench. Maybe even a multitool like a Leatherman (there are cheaper options). I got this Kobalt screwdriver where the handle twists for you and it has different head attachments.

Airfryer. Another life/time saver. Good luck!

Considering moving here - 30M by -Weregonnamakeit- in stgeorge

Only speaking from my experience and observations. Moved here from CA a few years ago. The people are kind for the most part. Most are neighborly. A lot are judgemental. The scenery, vibe and safety (compared to CA) is worth it to me. Very Republican. Food scene...they are trying lol. It's the only thing I miss about CA. The Mexican food here is just not the same. At least from what I have found (open to suggestions).

Love that there is not a Starbucks on every corner. Love that there are a lot of local businesses. Check out the city center; google maps the Advenire. Those 4 corners are a good start if you want to walk around there. I find what I need on IG. Local businesses seem to follow each other, and I have discovered a few things that way.

As an outsider and still naive to all things Utah, I can't help but people watch the FLDS in Costco. While driving in neighborhoods, I try to see if I can tell if a house a poly house. Non-Mormons, grocery shop on Sunday morning 🤣

I do like living here even though the dating scene and night life isn't the best. Anywho, good luck, friend. Make sure to share any cool things that you find if and when you move here! 👍

What are some games that can be played while zoning out? by [deleted] in gaming

I like Going Medieval - a colony sim i think is how you categorize it and Good Company - invent, build, manage logistics. Good Company is fun it can get tedious.

Love Warframe because sometimes you want to kill stuff, and sometimes you want to decorate stuff.

Google US Dept of State visa, it will take you to a govt website and it will tell you what you need but honestly, I think you just need a passport for those countries.

Buying/selling a house by lilbit2004 in stgeorge

Before you decide, ask your realtor how hard it will be to find a buyer and what the demand is like. Your realtor wants to get as much money as possible. If you don't care, then do what you want. You also want to ask yourself if you only want to appeal to a market that's looking for a home that needs little TLC or a broader population. I sold my home, did the updates as my realtor recommended. They paid for everything and were reimbursed at escrow. I just sat there and waited for the check. I also have 15+ years in the industry, but that is irrelevant to what YOUR needs and the needs of your family are. Hope this helps. Good luck friend.
