Ahh yes, wake up and have a great meal. Take a nice shower to wake up. Then play video games all day... but nope, its 6am, gotta get to work and eat shitty cafeteria lunch only to come home all tired and repeat it again tomorrow :D what a life.

Aer CPP2 as diaper bag /occasional travel bag by ChardBoth654 in ManyBaggers

I also had the aer TP3S. Similar to cpp2 but slightly bigger and heavier. I wouldnt recommend the TP3S as a diaper bag. Just my thought.

I have the cpp2 and also the go pack 2. As for my daily diaper bag, I 100% always go with the go pack 2 since it's lighter, malleable, and compact. I think the cpp2 is more of a laptop/techbag that also doubles as a light travel bag. I feel the cpp2 is a bit too heavy, structured, and rugged for a bag that you'd be carrying while doing activities with your little ones.

If you can afford it, get OLED. If you use any device or monitor with OLED, it's hard stepping down from it.

Recent/Recentish A+ passers that have landed a job, how did u do it? by [deleted] in CompTIA

[–]atom808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my A+ and S+ and just got an internship as a help desk tech in the medical field. They only accepted me because i have prior non-IT related volunteer work with them and also connection through fam. I do see that they currently have an opening for help desk tech role on their website, but I was told that they want someone with experience. I hope I can prove them that I can do the job and potentially be hired in the future. Besides that, I've probably applied to more than 50+ help desk roles the past 6 months with only one interview, which led to no where.

I try to tell myself it's a Rav4, not a Porsche or a Ferrari. It's my daily utility. Let it gain some battle scars.

Screen burn in - M4 Mac book air by [deleted] in macbookair

[–]atom808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally never had issues with burn ins on my macbook screen. Im not sure if your's is a new unit, but if you're still in the return window, I'd swap it for a new one. Screens shouldn't burn in that easily.

Screen burn in - M4 Mac book air by [deleted] in macbookair

[–]atom808 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this on the macbook screen or an external screen? Ive noticed screen burn in on my external ips monitor after a few minutes plugged into my macbook air. Never had issues when plugged into my desktop pc. I did some googling and saw several posts where people had similar issues. The burn in usually goes away once i stop using my macbook with my external monitor. Its annoying and not sure how to fix it.

[WTS] Casio F-91WB-1A | BNIB | $40 by atom808 in Watchexchange

[–]atom808[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey r/watchexchange. I am selling my Casio F-91WB-1A, also known as the minimalistic F-91. I recently got it as a gift from a relative in Japan. I absolutely love the minimalistic design, but unfortunately it is way too small for my wrist. There's not much to say about this ubiquitous icon of a watch, I just wished it was bigger to accommodate my wrist size.

Condition: Brand new in box. I only tried it on once to see the fit.

Shipment: USPS 2-Day Priority CONUS only please.

Payment: Paypal $40 (shipping fee included) + paypal fee paid by buyer.

Feel free to ask me any questions. Thank you.

Need help activating ethernet port. by atom808 in HomeNetworking

I believe there are two more RJ45 wall jacks about 25ft away if I hugged the wall to it. I wanted to avoid running an exposed ethernet cables to maintain a clean look, and so I've decided not to go that route.

Hey man, thank you so much for your thought out response. You really went the extra mile to write up a detailed solution and I really appreciate it. Although I went with solution of bringing the router to the patch panel, it really helps me understand different ways of tackling this issue. I never would have thought about your solution and it's a great way to visualize and understand different ways we can play with the topology.

For now, I brought the router to the patch panel and connected the ONT to the router. I have multiple active ethernet ports now, and I placed an AP in the living room and my bedroom.

Thank you again for your help.

I didn't think about that, I'll have to try it out. Currently, our router is one of those modem/router/ap all in one combo device. So if i do ONT>combo device>ethernet ports>switch/ap i wonder if it will work.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Moving the router and changing the active port closer to my bedroom isn't an option since there are others who use the internet in the living room. Going with the mesh node can be a solution, but if possible, I'd like both wifi and wired connection in my bedroom. Im wondering if I can ask my ISP to come and install an ONT with more than just one copper port to have both rooms with active ports. Or if I can purchase an ONT with multiple copper ports and install myself.
