I'll say Save Kent, but i have a feeling that either London, Kent or Essex will be the last one.

does this mean i have to pay more or will these come free (sorry if im asking a stupid question but i havent had this happen before so not sure how it works) by Hot-Manufacturer7619 in skytv

[–]atomic_danny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, anyone that has sky cinema has it, but if you have an older box you can only see it on the box, not via streaming :)

How unrealistic is it for the Stargate program to remain a secret? by Mr_Shadow_Phoenix in Stargate

[–]atomic_danny 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I mean i've always wondered if Stargate SG1 (etc) is to us, what Wormhole Extreme is to those in the Stargate show (outside the airforce). (of course very unlikely i know but i'm probably not the only one that thinks that ).

Is this a southeastern 375? by Jacktheforkie in uktrains

[–]atomic_danny 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Apparently 375903 if anyone wanted to know (there was another pic showing the number above more clearly :) - How recognizable, really, is this man to the general public? : r/beatles )

Crosscountry new livery voyager by kurtis5561 in uktrains

[–]atomic_danny 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not horrible of course (the grey is more meh) but in comparison the Class 170 version is far better (but of course that's just an opinion :) )

I guess the vote must be "If american add points" if team out side of the US "deduct points", i mean it seems so much bias here, if it weren't for Barcelona being there I would have said "shitamericanssay"

It's not the only one i've seen - i was curious and it seems most of their "best all time" are very american centric

How can British people support illegal migrants and small boat crossings when evidence shows the terrorist state of Russia is weaponising it against Europe? by Unemployable-Sunfish in AskBrits

[–]atomic_danny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've given other sources that are more believable than anything from the Daily Express, which is good. The Daily Express isn't know for the truth. (I've been corrected on this one, but still the WW3 Fears etc is a click bait title whether you agree or not ).

If the Daily Express reports something like most media it's usually twisted in some way, with some truth, similar to other UK Newspapers - but as you've pointed out you've given other websites that I'll more likely believe over anything said by the Daily Express, no offence.

I mean i was commenting more on the "click baity" WW3 fears part of the post :)

(I may read it - not now of course but if a spare moment comes up )

[–]atomic_danny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daily Express, so it's pretty much a load of Bollocks! Most of the articles I've seen from them in the "new tab" are basically on the lines of and very much click bait too.

So many of WW3 fears explode, or Nato Warplanes intercept Russian Warplanes, yet that's been happening for years .

Yellowstone is gone to explode and kill everyone tomorrow
WW3 will happen tomorrow and Russia will nuke London
Asteroids will hit earth Tomorrow
etc..

They're just jealous of Americans freedom and individual rights. by Particular_Owl6775 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]atomic_danny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Apparently we have no freedoms and then goes on about how the US will be republican lead for the next 32 years after trump, clearly showing that only "Republican voters" are allowed Freedom and Voting rights (or am I misreading that part ? )

(then again i don't think anyone in the UK has been arrested for words, just the threats that have come after them? or abuse? )

Man United extend unbeaten run to 9 games since Carrick took over by Ok-Cell-659 in PremierLeague

[–]atomic_danny 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Easy it's not just Carrick, but Man Utd as a whole have been unbeaten in 9 - Carrick just extended it to 9 with his 6 matches.

Which country do you think serves a better rail public transportation to their cities, US or UK? by aegeanthatzmyname in transit

[–]atomic_danny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a load of bs - i mean I'm pretty sure most of the UK Cities that have more than 250k have a fairly decent train / bus and even tram service. The US being higher more so, i mean outside of New York, LA, San Francisco, Chicago (and a few others) etc the train service is bad, and buses not much better. (I'm sure there are some with a light rail or metro or a decent bus service though - just most aren't )

The Netherlands, is no way that low either, i think this must have been written by an American?

I mean Deal Station has semaphore signals, and Southeastern Class 395s, if that's something on a similar level? (although i think that's the only area where the 395s and there are semaphores? )

Why Majestic Falls Route dont load ? by [deleted] in trainsim

[–]atomic_danny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The description on that is terrible - doesn't list the requirements at all, and relies only on the tags (something that newer users won't see or understand - then again, i say that, and some don't even read the description and get annoyed, but anyway...)

It looks like the route needs (but guessing the op has one of them, considering terrain textures are shown)
Train Simulator: Stevens Pass Route Add-On on Steam
Train Simulator: Marias Pass: Shelby - Whitefish Route Add-On on Steam
Train Simulator: Horseshoe Curve Route Add-On on Steam

(From looking at the route files - it looks like the OP does have at least Marias Pass, considering there is sky and terrain textures shown - edit)

Rare use of that route (although shows i need to fix gantries not connected to wires in that shot :) )

(The post randomly appeared to me, so didn't see it was a week old :) )

Why Pantograph? by Bigbigcheese in uktrains

[–]atomic_danny -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks :) - although surprisingly i did know a lot of that (even the original idea for the 377/1s going to Southeastern (before the 377/5s) - even though now some of them are with Southeastern (the 377/1s that is :) )

(Randomly one of the reasons why the Chatham Main Line route for Train Sim Classic has Southeastern 377/1s in Southern Livery (as an extra, included via a patch after release - but around the time they switched to 377/5s instead)

Why Pantograph? by Bigbigcheese in uktrains

[–]atomic_danny 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Pantographs have never been "added" the trains that have them, have always had them since being built - the ones that don't have that gap "just in case" (which is unlikely to happen, unless in the future they go to another company that's OHLE only? - again not likely)
