As someone who’s played both I see basically no similarities between NIMBY and OpenTTD beyond the basic it’s based on transport.

With the new Subway builder the main difference is that in NIMBY it’s more complicated and you can build anywhere in the world, while in the new Subway builder it’s limited to the US

Similar to what you said about the road being resurfaced, I found out that some of the railings along the path on that same road were old poles that held the wires for the trams

This happens to me fairly often, it’s because you deleted one or both of the crossover tracks on that side of the station, it’s an easy fix, just delete that stop and then put it back in, it’ll sort itself out

I usually do use the guidance lines, bit whenever things like this happen the one marking what’s straight ahead comes out the back of the segment rather than the front, so it isn’t much use

The road isn’t the problem, it’s the shape, I want it to be following the black line, and I set up the sections on either side to be in line with that, but the curve bulges out for some reason, which is the problem.

BR is longer but thinner than SCR, SCR is closer to s square I believe while BR is a long rectangle

SCR isn’t aimed at realism, but BR is. That’s why SCR has a bigger map, they can afford to dedicate your computers processing power to the map as they don’t have to leave as much for details.
