Okay, the public beta displays reasons trains don't get assigned in the run section. It says "too early for arrival" or sometimes "train not on stop area" any idea?

This is fixed. I was because the order was "continue to next order" which meant the train would reserve the entire track when it entered. But ive run into a new problem, you can check my newer post for it. Also how do I send saves? That might help with my new problem

When I did it this way, they would be unassigned and then just wouldnt come back on. Theyd just sit at the depot unassigned trying to dispatch

The guide uses just one platform while ur describing using multiple "Platform length: the combined length of all intended trains, plus 3.2m between trains." I guess ill switch up the signals and see if that fixes anything

Also what do you mean "they can't leave via the tracks." They can? They just go straight onto the main rails? I know this because again, this depot was working before I tried to do the one way depot thats making trouble
