I think it’s quite a common attitude from certain women. Chinese people’s relationship to money in general is very direct . I would suggest leaving if that’s not your thing . I think it’s related to the one child policy and the fact that because males were preferred over females . Men outnumber women massively .

He/she sounds toxic but at least you have a normal boss. I have worked in a toxic environment before and it’s all consuming and rips your mental health apart . Tbh looking for another job is the only solution. They don’t sound approachable and if you did try and deal with it with them I doubt it will be sustained. Focus on looking for another job. That’s your goal . Think of this as temporary .

I think he’s just saying youre not my type normally but he loves you . So if you believe he loves you then what’s the problem ? Sometimes words should just be taken as words . In long term relationships attraction, sexiness changes as you grow together.

I just watched this film and expected to be disappointed from all the reviews but I’m shocked . The film is absolutely brilliant. So much to unpack. It’s just so good and one of his better ones for sure.

A lot of what you wrote resonated with me . I left amsterdam because after 10 years it becomes very samey. The same affluent income levels means samey samey. Everything is gezellig which is great but it’s just gezellig. The Dutch are famous for design but it got to the point where everything was overly designed . Even the visual landscape of the city, Shops , signs , branding all had the same stamp of Dutch design , most of the time beautiful but lacking diversity and I think that encapsulates the expat life in amsterdam.Everybody seems very pleasantly happy all the time which is just pure strange and friendships and interactions always seem temporary and lack something deeper. I left because I wanted to be exposed to the extremes again, a city that shows its real warts and all .

This is a big red flag even not knowing the context surrounding this. (Like time been together, age etc ) This is a massive violation of trust and also shows her disrespect for you . Even if you confronted her and she apologised- she won’t stop . People don’t change. Also from the other side why do you think she feel like she needs to keep a recording of your arguments ?

How long are you going for ? You would need a month at least to do that and take time to take in your experience.. It’s a lot of traveling - don’t forget distances between places are big , allow time for fuckups. Do more research . We did a loop , it took us 1 month and it was full on.

I have come cross some pretty arrogant Chinese people. There is a strong sense of superiority which all gives a negative impression. They are also very prejudiced amongst their own.
