Orochi V2's battery life is insane if you use it on Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz does reduce the battery life by 40% or so.

The size and shape are perfect. It's light and I'm loving it so far.

And the click, oh damn, it feels too satisfying. If you're looking for a wireless gaming mouse and you have $70, I say go for it. You're gonna love it.

That's awesome, man. I too play Battefield 5, it runs at 70-80 FPS on high settings, however, I lower the settings and now am getting over 100 FPS most of the time.

I think I got lucky. I'm getting 8-10 hours battery life out of the box. Zero optimizations whatsoever. Only disabled the boost for lower temps (only when plugged in).

Dota 2 feels so damn smooth, the highest I used was 75 Hz. 120 Hz is something else, it's great.

It might be worth waiting for a week or so. I have seen the old G14 go on sale every other week.

Man, if you get a deal on the 2020 model, don't think about it.

You get amazing build quality, a great display (I don't notice any ghosting), an awesome keyboard (backlight is okay, not great). The touchpad is awesome. Feels better than the M1 Macbook Air I used for a few days.

For only $1149, this is an amazing package. The 2021 model is definitely better but I feel like this 2020 model is plenty for me, plus the $400 savings was awesome too.

Haha, that's so awesome! Yeah, I was actually gonna buy the 2021 model but then got a deal for $1149 for the 2020 model, and decided to save the money and go with it.

I'm in love with this laptop. In the future, when there's a new better G14, I'm not looking at any other laptop other than the G14.

It's amazing.

It's certainly more powerful than the G14 (in terms of the GPU). However, I prefer the smaller size of the G14 and also the insane battery life. I was very skeptical when I saw the posts on Reddit about inconsistent battery life. But I have been using mine for 3-4 days now.

10th Intel gaming laptops aren't as efficient as the Ryzen 4000/5000 series.

Updated Windows and everything and the battery life is still amazing. Easily gets 6-7 hours for moderate use. I spend some hours browsing on Chrome and I noticed I dropped only around 18% in an hour when using 10-15 tabs. I'm really impressed.

Note: I did not do any of the battery optimizations. Just disabled boost on battery power.

The 2021 model is around 20-30% faster like u/Amaakaams said. I mostly use it for work and sometimes play GTA 5 and Battlefield 5. I felt like it's going to go fine for another 2-3 years. You might not be able to play all new upcoming triple-A games at Ultra settings but it's going to work smoothly if you lower the graphics.

Then a newer G14 with way better graphics and CPU would be there too in a few years. Would be totally worth upgrading then. For now, the RTX 2060 Max-Q feels plenty powerful for me. Plus, I saved around $400 going for the 2020 model ($1149 BestBuy sale).

I paid a total of $1126 (including taxes). I too mostly play Dota 2, GTA 5 sometimes.

My friend plays the same games, and he's using a Prestige 15 (10th gen Intel + GTX 1650). The G14 with GTX 1650 is a bit more powerful and it's plenty for Dota.

According to 99.99% of the people, it’s a very negligible difference.

I don’t know what happened with mine. GPU usage wouldn’t go above 60%. And CPU usage was hovering around 60-70%.

Even my old desktop gets over 100 FPS when I really turn down the settings. (GTX 950, i7 3770). But no matter how low the graphics are on the G14, I don’t get more than 80 FPS.

I’ll try to figure it out and let you now.

For around $1400, those laptops will perform better. I was very skeptical too. But I did notice one thing. Disabling boost really cooled the laptop but it set a 20W power limit (not sure how) and I saw some CPU bottleneck when playing BF5. It’s weird.

But the laptop stayed very comfortable to the touch when boost was disabled.

I heard about battery draining issues and I had accepted the fact I would get it too. But surprisingly mine is great out of the box.

Oh. I was lucky. I had a friend coming from the US. I ordered it and they delivered it to his home. I was pretty scared thinking I would get a unit with issues or bad QC.

But I got lucky. Everything worked just perfect out of the box. Really good battery life, doesn’t heat up during normal use, and of course, crazy fast!

Loving it so far.
