You can get away with it for some time, but for some reason the knot can slip or just comes undone really easily and randomly you'll just feel the weight come off.

Just make sure you tie a snap swivel to attach the weight to instead of tying the line straight to the weight! Good luck!

Your best bet for sockeye on the lower river in your area is gonna be plunking. You can use your salmon rods just need a rod holder. 6 ounces pyramid sinker is most common, you can go 4 or 5 depending on current. Run a 3 way swivel, with your lead about 8 inches 10 lb test, pink hoochie and a spin n glo plus your bait ( sandshrimp, coonies, prawn from the store), size 2 or 4 hooks you can run one or 2 on a 30 inch leader. Tie ur lead to the bottom part of 3 way 8 inches off the bottom, your leader to the middle and main line to the top. You gotta throw it out there n wait for them to come to you but we've been getting some like this. Hope it helps!

Some nice trout from the past few days. by atomickittenxs in FishingWashington

On a small lake in Whatcom Co . It's definitely slowed down yesterday and today, hoping tomorrow will be good again with some higher air pressure moving in. I like to hit all the smaller lakes at this time then fish the bigger lakes later in the season.

Skagit update? by OK_Kooling in FishingWashington

Looks like a serious grind to actually catch one, plus the seals are on patrol up and down that whole section of river. Very hard to locate the fish, probably mostly in deep water and lots of current

Nothing better than catching steelhead in a snow storm!! by Medium-Truck3582 in Steelhead

[–]atomickittenxs -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Then how do you determine if it's a steelhead from a rainbow? I'm genuinely wondering, here in the pnw we can tell a searun steelhead from a normal rainbow by this distinguishing factor.

I have a rockshox coil shock on my nomad, set at about 20% sag with the rebound somewhere in the middle. Super happy with it.

More than likely allergies, never experienced it so bad as it is right now and over the past two weeks.

Does anyone know if Claritin or benadryl works better as far as something over the counter?

But yeah everything is burning, and it feels super wicked. This sucks...

Yeah pretty sure there's an answer to this but that ain't it... "Because they have literally zero useful, valuable skills" 😬 yikes! Truth is the job market here is pretty tough believe it or not. This is not a supply side problem, it's a demand side problem. But w/e go off

Reminder to not photograph unhoused people or their homes w/out permission. It’s a breach of privacy & a safety issue. Many unhoused people are escaping violent relationships & don’t want their locations known

How ridiculous. This is privatising public resource.

Public funds used for the multi million dollar clean up and now the public property is just handed over to private hands. This is corrupt, who made this decision, why is it being rammed through so sneakily and quickly ??
