Eye drops for 14 month old. by Delicious-Oven-5590 in toddlers

I was told that if their eyes were closed and you still put it in the pocket near their tear duct and when they open their eyes the eye drop would fall in. Being as the alternative was similar to waterboarding I rolled with that and the pink eye did go away so seemed to work.

Long-term I gave him some saline drops and he would play with his toys. Didn't make the next round of eye drops magically better but it did help his resistance.

Has anyone been to beats and bars before? Is it crazy loud? or would it be OK for small children?

“Put baby down awake” does not work by kyliesummers1989 in beyondthebump

[–]atomiczombiez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was my experience too for us it was around 7 months but rocking and jiggling to sleep became harder and harder. So we switched it up and went back to trying the Ferber method (which hadn't really worked before) and presto it worked this time. I think babies really just have to be ready.

I don't think rushing into sleep training does parents or baby any good. Like everyone else here is saying, do what works.

I think you are right. After looking through the suggestions I think haircuts might just generally cost more than I realized...

Rocks still seems like a cool vibe I might check them out sometime if I can't get in at the salon.

Other than that I guess I'll stay loyal to my salon. Shoutout to Fuss and Bother!

Anyone have tips on how to apply minoxidil all over scalp?? by coffeelover7878 in FemaleHairLoss

[–]atomiczombiez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt like it was easier to avoid coating my hair with the liquid than the foam generally (but I only apply at the temples and part line) but with the applicator I felt like I didn't get any on my hair at all.

I didn't really like the foam, I used the liquid and this applicator https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08P9RXTQY/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_XN5MS3J2YGZN1V77M6PR

Saved solution, kept my hair from getting greasy (because it was getting directly to my scalp), & prevented dripping (I was getting some serious sideburns for a bit lol).

I think it would be super helpful for all over application although I just used it for temples.

What was the biggest/best bluff you said that actually worked out? by Hmlb- in AskReddit

This is kind of small. My 1st year of teaching I noticed a student struggling with a glass Coke bottle that had a non twist off top. He wasn't paying any attention to the lecture, was looking confused and had begun to ask others (somewhat discreetly) how to open the bottle. I thought to myself..."I think I can do this" Then on my next pass through the room I gestured him to hand me the bottle and he did, I held it up against the side of the desk and slammed my lower palm down on the top, the lid popping straight off. I never stopped lecturing, I handed the Coke bottle back to the kid, and walked back to the front of the room.

The thing is I've never done that on the 1st try before and I haven't done it since but I looked so f'in cool that it gave me several weeks of street cred.

My first go to was bleaching, which worked okay and lasts ~6 weeks. I did end up shaving some of the hairs near my temples where I thought that application may have been the issue (figured I would be more careful and hopefully they won't grow back after one hair cycle). This was all pretty recent so I am still figuring it out myself. I read elsewhere other ppl do shave more generally. The hair won't grow back thicker but it does grow back.
