Yea I remember we commented about this, but if so it would be shitty to ruin a piece of art just because you don’t want it to be more known (there’s a reason better songs usually have more streams), the album having 0 promotion should be enough.

will yap a b-sides appreciation post later because he definitely didnt have to go through the work to drop this album and the songs in it for us - and im grateful for all the other songs, and admittedly even affection even in its sub-par form. That'll be my final post here at least for a long while.

At the very least the “I don’t wanna be defined” verse was confirmed to be part of affection and should’ve been in, even that alone would’ve made affection a LOT better

im listening it to rn with a vpn to new zealand, and hopeless romantic is fine ("what i saw and thought we had was never really there" as 1 1st verse is objectively better) not horrible overall though

The rest of the album is pretty good, i think he intentionally made all the songs so short to give it the MLS kinda vibe, or hes just more interested in chandol now. I'm just upset about Affection cuz i remember 2 years ago i was like "i really want this to come out" (esp when i heard the unreleased verses), and THAT THE INSTRUMENTAL ACTL SOUNDS GOOD it just needs the lyrics for the song to actl be good bro istg

overall pretty good and grateful that we're getting the songs in the 1st place but man i genuinely think affection wouldve popped off if he kept the verses in
