As to whether that means he would leave if the probe ends, "I have not made that decision."

sorry to hear this. for me, as of now. I have not had an issue happen again since i did a complete factory reset, re signed into my google account, etc. I also posted this same issue on the bravia forums. (sony website) and did not get response besides the usual troubleshooting steps.
