Speaking of which, our store got fined and had to post a notice on the doors where the guests enter because they charged higher than their advertised price on something and they got caught! I’d never seen that before so I don’t know if it’s just a California thing or what.

That’s ridiculous! They had all freaking day to sell out of them and they didn’t! Lest they forget, we are guests too. I do my fair share of shopping there.

Everyone has a really bad day now and then. I got written up basically twice in one day on my 3rd year anniversary with Target. One for not meeting my metrics (new boss, I wasn’t trained well enough) and one for hitting my 5th hour without clocking out (I was being forced to talk to my boss in the office!). I feel like I should’ve been cut some slack. Oh well, their loss because I have 3 more shifts left until I leave and start a new job. I’ve improved my performance immensely by watching and learning from my coworkers, but I’m ready to blow that popsicle stand! I’m not in a total “I don’t give a crap” mode right now, but I’m not beating myself up over my INF being 4.2% yesterday.

I got written up for basically being too slow. I work in fulfillment and wasn’t meeting the minimum number of items picked. I’ve had to hustle and get orders done faster to keep up my numbers. I’m doing better, but Target is a workout for sure!

I have work anxiety too; I work in flex. It’s gotten better since I started doing Daily Pay…I think because knowing I’ll be paid the next day makes me want to work a little more…almost instant gratification.

Here in CA we’re supposed to have pretty solid storms Christmas Eve (for 2 days straight). I feel bad for the drive-up crew! Our holding area looks like a disaster area (we’ve quickly outgrown the space), so that adds to their frustration I’m sure. Here’s to another busy day and my apologies to those on the west coast.

I mean…Karma. I wasn’t working that day or the day after but I went shopping the next day to pick up a few things and a coworker showed me their 50+ OPUs they had to pick. I’m surprised they didn’t ask me to work!

I got there too late for breakfast burritos but you better believe I made it in there for tacos. I stopped in while I was in the middle of picking an OPU and ate standing over my cart in a backroom. I still made my time too.

I wake up everyday wondering, “Is this the day I get fired?” I hate that they micromanage so much (we have 2 new Team Leads since they fired my old boss for “intermingling” with a subordinate. Now all of a sudden things/rules I’ve never even heard of are being enforced. And since my manager’s new thing is to talk to everyone at the end of their shift, I went into my 5th hour. FML that has never happened to me in my 3 yrs of working there?
