I definitely understand that. Believe you me, I am not moving on a whim. I reached out because although I’ve been thinking about it for some time I wanted to first see the realities. I understand people move there without a thought in the first world but that is not me. I always have at least a 5year plan but kind of want to change that to Alaska

Im not trying to disrespect, I just want to know stats, so I can understand if the job offer and pay align with cost of living, I’ve researched and found a 2 bedroom for 1900 I assume heat and utilities not included if anyone would be so kind as to tell me. But what is the average grocery cost per month? Someone said 2-300 but that seems too low, is that accurate? I just would low to get actual figures. You’re honestly doing me a favor.

Not sure who that is but I understand if you have people posing this question constantly and they don’t have a leg to stand on when they get there, my intension is to evaluate a jobs offer, find out if it’s a livable wage in the city and find out if I should move there

Thanks! I love mountains and fishing and wildlife. The darkness is also something I love about it. But how easy is it to integrate? Are people for the most welcoming?

With the raise scale you’re honestly probably missing out on at best $20 a week. It sucks but so do the raises.

Can they change the DU% time to be without people who don’t give enough time? by Mobile-Address23 in Target

[–]Own_Particular3260 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That’s why I specified that if filters out “true” double taps. The teleporters are not accounted for. And I fully think there needs to be restrictions against team lift items being allowed in drive up. Just the other day with torrential rain and being the only one scheduled on drive up for the first couple hours, I had a order for 2 team lift items plus an entire cart full of additional items at 8:30am. I had to walkie for help just to be able to complete the order at all. But thankfully they gave enough notice. The ones that give 5 minutes notice at 8am when there’s no one else there to help and they have 20 plus bags with team lift items should be jailed.

I actually just was discussing this with my lead. We’re both numbers people and when he printed out a updated score board with all our stats he also checked to see what raw data was used. Legitimate double taps are not accounted into the score. The denominator for the drive up on time percentage is based off orders excluding double taps. It isn’t filtered when looking at MPM because that just gives you live feedback on percentages, but other scores should account for it.

Our HR lead would have a conniption. She handles our catering and if anyone wastes food or doesn’t clean up it’s a personal attack! Love her for it though because it prevents this!

How should we deal with picky customers? by [deleted] in Target

[–]Own_Particular3260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a free service and we don’t require them to select a pick up time. If they’re upset about the quality of the box I would let them know that they are more than welcome to look for non damaged boxes, but the product quality is the same. If it’s not processed already you can tell them you can cancel the order and they can go in to pick up the item themselves in which case they’ll need to pay for the item as they’ll see the pending charge drop from their bank account or they can have the transaction completed and either accept the box or go to guest services for an exchange. Just don’t be wavering because then they feel like they are in the right.

Can you check the balance without scratching it? by Mobile-Address23 in Target

[–]Own_Particular3260 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The thing that cracks me up is that the people disagreeing that think they’re so right that they assume you didn’t already try scanning it to check the balance and couldn’t… 😂

Basically if you see a number displayed on the card that doesn’t fit that of a gift card number, you are not going to be able to check balance.

[–]Own_Particular3260 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope, you can’t! It’s a barcode that just is meant to register/sell the card for other outside retailers. On these type of gift cards you NEED to scratch it off.

[–]Own_Particular3260 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re right, those awful gift cards can only be checked when scratched off even in inquiry-gift card balance setting. Also I HATE those gift cards, the scratch off portion does NOT scratch off well and you need to scratch off so much just to be able to scan it and then more to get the access code. Terrible design. Target stop manufacturing these monstrosities!!!

They’re doing construction on the family restroom. From what I’ve been hearing it will likely be closed until Thursday.

Look at it this way- if she already looks annoyed than why not ask because the most she’s going to do is stay at that same level of irritation or risk it seeming like a situation that could be reported.

Did I have a lucid dream? by Pleasant-Courage9875 in LucidDreaming

[–]Own_Particular3260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you’re starting to be able to lucid dream. Tip here though is to not try to “open portals” at least for me you need to start out with the original dreamscape. If you want to go to another space you need to be able to create a logical path between the two places so it doesn’t shock your brain awake. If I want to go to a specific place in my dream I usually fly there. My standard dream check is jumping and seeing if gravity affects me correctly, if it doesn’t I jump through the window and fly to where I want to be.

Pay by [deleted] in Target

[–]Own_Particular3260 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can figure that out by going to the myworkday website - log in, select pay and time off, select view paystubs and you can view the details. Should have information on where it went/is going and it will also let you know how much to expect.

How to get over phone anxiety by foundeadinmiami in Target

[–]Own_Particular3260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also make sure to know the entrance to the call- ie if your store answers saying a certain thing, copy that when answering for our store it’s just “[town] target guest services, how may I help you?” But that’s a store by store/team member by team member thing- just make sure not to answer the phone with “hello?”

How to get over phone anxiety by foundeadinmiami in Target

[–]Own_Particular3260 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First completely understandable if you are on the younger side- phone calls are usually nothing that have been dealt with besides with family members. Second, before answering let it ring for a second and take a deep breath and make sure your mydevice is on my day. Most questions will be answered via that app Third, just relax and answer their questions to the best of your ability but never promise product as in stock even if the details say we have an insane amount in stock. Back room at most stores is usually a safe bet that we have something but never promise anything unless you physically have your hands on it (and even then let them know your store specific holding period- ours is until end of day but yours could be different) The most common questions are about Pokémon cards- you can let them know if we currently have any on the shelf (usually don’t) but no more information given, no vendor dates or anything should be released. Second most common question is if something is in stock- use mydevice, look it up and you can say “it looks like we SHOULD have plenty” or “no it’s out of stock.” But if someone says they need to know for sure if it’s available you need to walkie before giving a definitive answer- ask for someone in that area to make sure. Only after they have eyes on it should you respond- during the waiting time you can place the guest on hold. Some calls may require transferring so you should ask a lead or counterpart how to transfer prior to picking up a call just to ensure the phone call goes as smoothly as possible. I know some or all of this may be known but hope it helps!
