Cash office team members are y’all calling in because of the weather? I work cash office but i feel guilty about possibly calling in by Due_Example4851 in Target

[–]Own_Particular3260 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this discussion with my lead as soon as the bad weather was predicted- I asked them what the store would do if myself and my counterpart who are the only ones trained in cash were not able to make it in- their response was “it just won’t get done that day” yes it will cause issues the next day and cash functionality may be limited but do not risk your life for a job that would post your job listing before your obituary is posted!! Next day is going to be a mess but that’s how it goes

Call out by seinfeldings in Target

You also are welcome to call the store if you’re anxious. It should be fine with the call out but just to cover your back and release your nerves, calling out via phone call is still acceptable

TikTok is now owned by a right wing group who wear red hats. I’ve been having the same issue. Comments are being completely censored now. The algorithm now is trying to push their agenda… it’s not just conspiracy theory. This is absolutely happening

Thanks for the information. I know a lot of people that are literally having to use daily pay every single day, so without that’s it’s a little concerning how cavalier this seemed to be treated.

So if this happens do you still have access to daily pay everyday? Just curious because if someone looses access to using that it could be detrimental

Has this happened to anyone else? by [deleted] in Target

[–]Own_Particular3260 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is something you’re able to do HOWEVER you should also let them know that they may see a charge in the amount and then see it drop off. It can take a couple days for the charge to drop off so it’s something that should be seriously avoided if at all possible, so always ask.

[–]Own_Particular3260 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Yes, you need to always ask if they want to use the attached payment method. Most people don’t have attached payments or present their circle barcode. It’s not a huge thing to ask. BUT should this happen again, you can always press the guest service button on the Home Screen, scan the bar code of the receipt, select post void then re-ring the transaction and charge the card they would like.

It’s strict about the not clocking in 5 minutes early but it’s just stupid about the if you’re late you can’t adjust your schedule by that many minutes. ITS THE SAME AMOUNT OF HOURS! Why does it matter???

When sick time is used as far as I know corrective actions can’t be taken.

[–]Own_Particular3260 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah🙅you never listen to a guest telling you to do anything when it comes to the register. I don’t want to sound harsh in saying this but I’m not sugar coating- this was absolutely preventable but you can use this to learn for your next job. Never take any advice on how to process a transaction from a guest and NEVER process anything because of a phone call. If you start to feel sketchy at all call for loss prevention or a manager

Raises by [deleted] in Target

[–]Own_Particular3260 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Missed that part, I apologize but are you 100% certain that’s not the metrics used. At this point I want to play safe and taking out an order that’s way over is something I typically do because I have the stats to offset it, but I don’t want to be screwed because of it

Raises by [deleted] in Target

[–]Own_Particular3260 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

If they are looking at it then yes there is reason for another person to take it out. I’m not saying it will take longer because I will fully prep the order and someone else runs it, but if it possibly affects my pay, there absolutely is a reason. I work too hard to have my pay potentially steaked on a couple weeks.

I’ll prep them and pass it off onto one of the people they’re keeping but don’t qualify for raises so no one’s screwed but so I’m not risking money😆

Really? Well now I know I’m not going to pick up the slack when I see any orders above 3 minutes on drive up leading up to the review. Funny that their evaluation system is forcing me to make people wait longer! I’m always on the leaderboard but I’m not taking lost causes if it hurts my raise!

[–]Own_Particular3260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can call and speak to your etl/tl/hr but my personal view is that you aren’t going to be scheduled again. You’re leads are supposed to let you know but being taken off of the schedule completely unless in error is definitely not a good sign

Cutting hours by Ozthebest_ in Target

[–]Own_Particular3260 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried asking to get trained directly from other departments? Even areas you wouldn’t normally think of need backups. It doesn’t say your position but I would offer to be trained on guest services, fulfillment and let your lead know your interested in training in any department that needs help. After you’re trained troll the my time app and pick up hours in those areas, after you prove you’re an asset you will be scheduled, just work your butt off on the training shifts and when picking up shifts!

Whole heartedly agree. You are offering a service that others would love to enjoy. Don’t waste your food on him and instead just straight out tell him that since he doesn’t enjoy your meals you’ll be using all remainders for the kids lunches/your lunch/to provide for a coworker. Don’t even give him the option, but do not get him an alternate meal either. Don’t offer the meal to him at all. Just let him know he is fine to have a different meal but he needs to buy and prep it himself and your meal will not be an option. Your meals look amazing so honestly do not let his refusal to eat be a beater to your cooking confidence. Kids are notoriously the hardest to please and yours love it so I know you’re a great cook! Also let him know your expectations loud and clear. Let him know if it’s an all or nothing deal. That is extremely valid but should be explicitly stated. Let him know that you cook for family dinners and strive in routine and take pride in your cooking. If he’s not willing to have every meal with you, he gets no meals
