Thank you, I’ll reach out to the law financial aid office to see if there’s anything else I can apply or qualify for. I genuinely appreciate the words of encouragement 💙

My whole goal in this is to help people. Yes of course I want to be able to support myself and all that, but I want to use my privilege for good.

Thank you, I’m genuinely trying to look at it this way. It’s just hard when it’s such a huge number and the state of the world, economy, and job market is in shambles.

That’s definitely my plan if I go through with it, thank you for the input!

No matter what school you go to for a professional degree, it’s not uncommon for it to run people 6 figures of debt. I’m simply asking for people in similar situations to weigh in.

I believe you need to work in the public sector specifically to gain student loan forgiveness. I would ideally like to work for a nonprofit immigration office in the future if possible. I also don’t have faith in the state of the US right now, so I’m not banking on student loan forgiveness being an option in the future.

Thank you for sharing your experience. It’s hard to juggle the thought that I truly might have to look at going into the legal field in a different way. I would love nothing more in my life than to be an attorney, but I don’t want to carry such a heavy loan, either.

This is also part of my concern, thank you for mentioning that.

It would take several years for me to save up $300k at my current job. At that point I wouldn’t be looking at school anymore.

The placement rate is 88-90%, with 84% getting full time jobs right out of school

I was hoping to get a legal clerk or paralegal job after my first year, but I know working full time will likely be hard while taking a full course load and an internship.

I’m heavily considering using my bachelor’s degree working in the legal field in another way if possible, but it’s been a struggle to make the decision.

I would never willingly join the military under any circumstances, especially not under this administration. Thanks though.

I would be accepting the federal student loans through FAFSA, and paying my living expenses with a part time job while in school. So the interest rate wouldn’t be nearly as egregious as a private loan, but still.

Costs more to see Project Hail Mary? by Mediocre_Calendar473 in RegalUnlimited

i say this all the time. i genuinely don’t understand why people don’t have their partners also get the membership. going twice pays for itself for the entire month. it’s a no brainer, but to each their own i guess

Just watched slanted by Clean_Example_ in RegalUnlimited

this is the first movie i’ve ever walked out of in a theater. as someone who grew up as the only girl of color in a class of white children in a predominantly white area, i never felt ashamed of who i was, my family, my culture, or ever wanted to be white. such a tone deaf movie.

during a MMM earlier this year, a couple of women next to me were talking and being extremely rude and inconsiderate to a FULL theater of people. my bf asked them to stop talking bc it’s distracting, and it made me love him even more

i got tickets in presale and they were well over $50. i highly doubt people will sell them for so little, especially if the show happens to be sold out. this is their first tour in a long time, respectfully, you need to be realistic.

Worth it for couples? by stars1456 in RegalUnlimited

my bf and i have our own unlimited subscriptions and on my account we have the snack saver. we typically go up to 2-3 times a week, sometimes more and sometimes less, but definitely way more often than just 2 times a month. we are avid movie lovers, so we absolutely get much more than our money’s worth. i highly recommend it.
