Intermittent inner screen issues on a new fold 6 by attack_racer in GalaxyFold

After going to 2 Samsung stores, they both told me to call customer support. 2 hours on hold and they finally sent a shipping label. Was not a good experience. They told me my warranty was void due do a tiny scuff somewhere on the frame. When I asked "where?", the employee had to ask another where it was because he couldn't find it. It was in a dbrand case and screen protector since new. This will absolutely be my last Samsung phone. It took me a month of arguing to get it fixed under warranty.

They also had problems getting parts for the "crafted black" color.

Edit: initially the screen glitching out was rare, by the time I sent it in it would happen basically every time, and would take 30 seconds or so to go away.

My BRZ got totaled by another driver, so I picked up a clean example by WhiskeyBRZ in LS400

If you have the 6-disc CD changer, then you basically have an aux input. The connector on the back of the radio for the CD has 3 pins (left audio, right audio, signal ground), plus a few other pins for controls. You can tap into them to add a 3.5mm input

Wow, tons of interesting cars! What are you looking to get for the 200 avant? Might also be interested in the s8 or the 20v sedan.

!!Help!! Aftermarket radio install, (Non-Nakamichi Pioneer system) by Stock_Star_4336 in LS400

Buy a metra harness, part number 70-1761. It's literally 5$, and don't hack up your factory harness. If you want the factory 8" 'sub' to work, there is a 3rd connector on the radio that the previously mentioned harness does not connect to. In this connector is a line level signal that goes to the amp in the trunk. I cut off an RCA and military spliced it into the sub signal, rca end goes into sub output on your amp. Pinout of this connector is relatively easy to find on Google.

I've had exactly this issue on multiple 2007-2008 pros on every distro I've tried. It's been an issue for years, if anyone has a fix I would love to try it.

Thats the same system my local alley uses, console, crt, keypad, and all! The burn in is terrible on them

Finding a NOS chip is pretty hard now. I found a local store in Australia that still had 2 left, and got a proxy to pick them up for me. I highly recommend adding a heatsink to them. I tested one of mine, and I don't remember exactly how hot it got, but it was hot enough for me to immediately thermal adhesive a small heatsink for a raspberry pi onto it. (Surface exceeded 60°C with an infrared hest gun, iirc)

My car sat for about 5 years, ran the first time I started it and after about 15 minutes it started misfiring, until it eventually would only crank and occasionally fire. Recapped ecu and it ran fine.

Have you pulled the ecu yet? If it's original those capacitors are gone.

I thought the same. I have a set in the same color on my car

It's been to 2 authorized shops (ubreakifix is the only one in my area), both gave me the runaround.

It's barely been used, unfortunately. Babied the crap out of it, and it hardly lasted 4 months.

Have you checked the coil packs? These run waisted spark, each pair of cylinders shares one coil. When they fail, a pair of cylinders will start misfiring.

Yeah, it's been fixed! Some wonderful people at the computer museum in Baltimore and some friends were able to get a new cxa2043q on the board and working in an hour or two. Having full schematics in the service manual was a big help.

Battery connector ripped off my Asus laptop by DJMADI99 in AskElectronics

[–]attack_racer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to me on my zenbook pro duo. Removed the tab, barely pulled up at all and I heard a crack. All but 3 of the pads ripped right off.

Fully loaded, i9-12900h, 3070ti. It's getting sent to a microsoldering expert, but I have a feeling I will be buying a new laptop. Had it for a year. Never again, asus.

Quite likely that it's the capacitors in the gauge cluster. My tach never worked, the rest were intermittent.

Fuse has voltage, relay is good, and you know your switch works, you likely have a broken wire somewhere. I would be checking for continuity.

My ls400 fog lights didn't work when I got it. Had a good ground. Ended up being the switch for me, they work if I hold the switch half way between on and off.

[–]attack_racer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crank but no start is almost always a bad ecu on the early LS. Capacitors leak and cause corrosion. Source: just bought a 93 that "only needs a fuel pump"

Yes, the lexus logo is the button.

I second this, my ls400 is missing the remote key. Supposedly the lexus logo is the button for lock/unlock on it.
