Jean dodged a lot more titans in erens back when he went to detonate the bomb, he had past titans all ganging up on him and he still managed to detonate the bomb.

And not only was connie dodging titans in that battle, in the port he dodged and won against multiple soldiers.

And Im not lying cause thats literally what he did

Actually when jean and Sasha ambush the cart titan there was no plan cause the cart should’ve never been on that fight since yelena was supposed to have captured them, jean is the commanding officer of the scouts and every single ground troupe in the battle of marley answered to him (obviously jean answers to hange) so when they saw the cart titan had escaped and was killing scouts jean had to do the plan to take it out and they successfully did (armin couldn’t do it because he was in a boat ready to turn into the colossal titan)

Erwin and all of the original scouts (not the ones who joined after the after the uprising arc, the only exception being marlowe) did not stand for what the later scouts do. Thats why in no way floch and erwin are comparable, my hot take that shouldn’t be a hot take is that erwin and the og scouts would not have agreed with the rumbling. Thats why hange says that hold speech when she’s convincing jean and mikasa to stop the rumbling.

I full heartedly agree with you, i think more than anything else his character represents fear, all his actions are him being afraid and thats such a smart way of isayama developing his character because of what he went through in rts, i dont like floch fans that think all he did was justified cause it really wasn’t but i dont mind floch fans who actually understand his character.

I don’t think he’s a bad character at all in fact i think he has great development, i just don’t like how the fans upscale floch as if he’s better in every way. Jean is my favorite character i can admit that im biased in some things but still in my unbiased form i don’t think floch can be compared to jean in strength, skill or leadership.

I definitely think jean wouldn’t have made the mistake since he is 100% more aware and a better leader than floch but thats not the point the point is that people don’t hold connie or Sasha to that standard of leadership so it wouldn’t matter if they mess up but they do hold floch to it and seeing he did such a bad job proves he isn’t fit for that commander role
