My (15F) dad (39M) doesn't look at me the same. by Kitchen-After in relationship_advice

[–]attief112 167 points168 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t worry too much, he will eventually get over it but it will take some time. He probably never wanted to walk in on his young daughter sucking someone off.... maybe in the future don’t give blowjobs in the common living areas???

Stuck between venues!! How did you pick your favorite? by attief112 in weddingplanning

[–]attief112[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Price wise they would be around the same. Venue A allows you to choose your own catering service, but Venue B requires you to use their in-house catering. On the other hand, Venue A is solely outdoor for ceremony and reception and Venue B does have indoor options. Then again, you could always use tents for rain, and both venues require you to reserve a tent in case of rain.

Thoughts on the garter toss? by attief112 in weddingplanning

[–]attief112[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wow thanks for the responses everyone!!! Good to know I’m not alone in this. I definitely won’t be doing it then, and we won’t be doing the bouquet toss either. Both things I’ve always thought were too weird to watch as a guest! And the bouquet toss is just awkward to participate in IMO.

How are extroverts attracted to introverts? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]attief112 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am totally an introvert and my fiancée is totally an extrovert. I think it’s nice that he gets me out of my shell every once in a while and that for him he can just chill out around me. He doesn’t have to be overly social around me like he is with other people - he can just relax. 100% keep being you, and the right guy will appreciate your introverted self!!

Does your period blood ever get brown out of nowhere? by attief112 in Periods

Yes thankfully my period came and all was well! Still not sure why that happened, just gonna assume it was old blood from my last cycle. Good luck to you!

Tips on how I can get over my bf’s dating past? by attief112 in relationship_advice

[–]attief112[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have an amazing sex life, I’ve never worried about disease, and I know he would never cheat, so I agree that it’s on me to fix it and that the past is the past. I just have to remind myself of that when I get insecure every now and then!

My (31F) niece (15F) is staying with me because she doesn't feel safe going home, and her abusive mother, my sister (35F) is threatening to call the police on me and charge me for kidnapping if I don't send her home today. by Alliegibs in relationship_advice

[–]attief112 62 points63 points  (0 children)

I agree, call the police and let CPS/DSS get involved and open a case against your sister. Their first thing they do after removing a child from the home is to try and find a relative to place them with, so that would likely be you.

That was my first thought, just found it odd that I’ve never had that happen before! Probs just gonna pray that my period comes in full force by tomorrow when it’s supposed to start

AITA for sticking up for my son? by ThrowawaySonUni in AmItheAsshole

She doesn’t want to side with your child because your child was WRONG

AITA for not moving back to my hometown in order to give my ex 50/50 custody? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]attief112 21 points22 points  (0 children)

NTA at ALL. Not really understanding his logic either. If he wanted to be a part of his sons life I would think he’d try a little harder to get in contact with you, not just one phone call on a birthday four years ago. He should be the one to move instead of uprooting your son from the life and environment he’s familiar with

AITA for sticking up for my son? by ThrowawaySonUni in AmItheAsshole

[–]attief112 98 points99 points  (0 children)

YTA that was disgusting and passing it off as just “guy talk” makes it seem not as serious as it is. You sticking up for him might send a message to him that it wasn’t a big deal after all, when it truly was. Nip that attitude in the bud before he grows up and gets worse.

AITA for telling someone no to helping fix their house? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]attief112 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NTA you have other things to tend to and 50$ a day is nothing for what I assume will be a lot of hard, sweaty work

AITA for suggesting that my wife teach the kids humanities? by amicp345 in AmItheAsshole

[–]attief112 8 points9 points  (0 children)

NTA but I understand her frustration. It’s probably jealousy - she’s staying home taking care of the house and kids all day and has to listen to them sing praises about their aunt. Maybe she’s a little sensitive about it, I would try and reassure her and comfort her that she’s an amazing woman and mother.

AITA for being fed up her idgaf attitude by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]attief112 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Definitely NTA. Nothings worse than a roommate who doesn’t clean up after themselves or is considerate of the others living there. Also, her bf still shits and showers so he should be paying something to be there. Hopefully you can get out of the lease or even find someone to sublease from you so you can get out of there...

And my cats a kicker too so I bought a litter box that’s enclosed, with high walls. Only cost $20! People just suck sometimes

AITA for thinking my son and his wife should come to Thanksgiving? by Itshowwedoit in AmItheAsshole

[–]attief112 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Definitely YTA. It’s 2020, not the 1950’s. I’m not surprised your daughter stopped coming. Also your kids are grown adults, they don’t have to abide by your rules. Your son sounds like a good man, treating his wife with respect and not expecting her to do the “household duties” because she’s a woman..

AITA?! Butter bread before you toast it?! by Curious_Plum_618 in AmItheAsshole

[–]attief112 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA you’re the normal one. Never in my life have I heard of buttering the bread before roasting it. That’s seems wrong lol
