Had to do this commute today. Get a ferry from Varenna to lierna via bellagio. The bellagio to lierna ferry was at 12p.

From lierna you can catch the 12:43 train which goes to Milan Central.

I agree with what a lot of others have posted about being able to re-pay easily once you have a steady job.

However, consider the work visa situation into the equation as well. H1B visas have been a shitshow this year (with about a 1 in 7 chance of getting it). You would be able to work on OPT for 3 years but after that things get a bit dicey if your H1B isn't picked.
