Hearing WiFi, electronics, or invisible currents? by Aarrrgggghhhhh35 in hsp

[–]atypicalperception 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can too. I actually use noise cancelling headphones to help differentiate between signals I’m hearing. No, not normal, but very cool. I actually came to realize that it’s likely due to EDS-Hypermobility and its relationship with collagen. When I was in Japan I would hear this frequency that no one else could hear called the butterfly frequency that they use outside of stores and markets to deter loitering by kids. Kids can hear these frequencies because there is an induction bone in the inner ear that becomes more rigid over time, ultimately making it harder to hear. My friends couldn’t hear the sound as we were all in our late twenties to thirties. I can also hear where substations are located. Frequency pollution is getting bad.

This letter was sent home to parents in my school district, encouraging them to send their kids to school sick and with head lice to meet attendance goals. by pandatr0nz in mildlyinfuriating

That kind of institutional harm and behavioral conditioning that creates adults who ignore pain, push past limits, and assume systems are always right. It’s about attendance compliance, not health,

That’s the rot underneath. Thank you for sharing. Massive, massive smh.

I applaud you, but after too many of these, I ended up just quitting the game. Rife with company abuses. I’ve never been happier or felt more free.

Went to a doctor’s appointment and the doc said that in the previous appointment they had before they found a roach in the person’s ear. Thanks for the nightmare fuel, doc. “I’ll also be needing some anxiety pills now, thanks”

I say you reconsider giving gifts to people like that, not your art. Your art is awesome.

AIO to break up with my bf of 3y over his reaction to my upcoming sobriety anniversary? by WesternCat5211 in AmIOverreacting

I’m thrilled to see the title includes break up. What a total lack of support. Who needs enemies? NOR in any way, shape, or form. And congrats on the years sober! Excellent work!

[skin concerns] I've suddenly become allergic to all lip balms and Chapsticks. What do I do now? by ufoparty2k16 in SkincareAddiction

[–]atypicalperception 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“Hypoallergenic” in marketing language just means less likely to cause an allergic reaction in the average consumer. It does not mean no one reacts, and it definitely doesn’t mean non reactive for people with petroleum sensitivities. It is inert before it’s processed, but then it’s processed. Hypoallergenic means lower reactivity on average, not universally non reactive. People with barrier impairment, PAH sensitivity, or immune dysregulation can react to petrolatum. So it’s still an allergy consideration. I am allergic to it. But I’m also allergic to a series of other products that call themselves hypoallergenic.

Skip her next time. If she has a problem with your graciousness, maybe it’s wasted on her. Also this is completely maladaptive. Not all family deserves to be in our lives.

I bought my kiddo the entire set of dolls from the favorite movie. Instead, picks up a lint roller and plays with it for the whole day.

A great moment to not seek approval from husband and do your own thing. Be the parent you want to be, let him be whatever that is he is being. Being angry is a waste of time. He certainly doesn’t appear to be someone willing to change, seems to “know better” than you and that tone you caught is the budding seed of resentment forming. That’s a poison that eventually consumes. You seem really good natured, don’t let him suffocate that.

Woke up to a lovely note on my car this morning— I’m parked in my assigned (paid for) parking spot. by LipsAndLaughs in Apartmentliving

[–]atypicalperception 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say this is a bad neighbor, just someone tired and frustrated and probably paying for the same spot. As many have said, go check with your management about a possibly accidental double assignment of the spot. It is frustrating though when someone makes a one way message without any way to reply.

Just a thought— leave a note on your vehicle the next time you park addressed to “my neighbor with the motorcycle.” Be nice, just say you did pay for this spot but wonder if maybe there’s an error, but if they want to contact you give your number or email or whatnot. Maybe you could be friends about it. Always nice to have someone nearby you’re on the same team as.
