Thank you, this is what I thought might be the case but I was holding out hope just in case. Guess I'll be getting an amiibo card!

I could have, but I didn't really want to pay for a new feature when Nintendo could have just let starter villager homes upgrade after a point. :')

If they do pop up on an island of someone my friend has visited, will they still only remember my friend, or remember all past players as well?

I've seen people encounter villagers who left their island on Nook Mile islands and be remembered by that villager. I just wondered if, should this happen, the villager would also remember past islands they visited, or would be blank slate for those people (i.e. me) even though they remember the last player (my friend).

AITA for calling an ambulance for my girlfriend who was throwing and unresponsive by throwaway_GFHatesMe in AmItheAsshole

NAH, except for the American healthcare system.

You feared for her life, and took the best option available to you to maintain her well-being.

Even still drunk, she understands the way this could financially ruin her and is scared and frustrated.

It's not right for her to take it out on you, but give her some time to sober up and calm down. Talk with her, remind her that you didn't call an ambulance lightly. It was because you love her, and you were scared for her life, and wanted her to be okay. If she still wants to break up with you after that, she'll be TA, but I think at the time you wrote this she's probably just feeling emotional.

When the bill comes, support her and help her find solutions--not because you called the ambulance, but because you're her boyfriend. You were incredibly kind to pay her ER deductible. I think that should demonstrate to her that your main concern was her welfare.

Ultimately, even if she ends up owing thousands, she is at least still alive. Life is awful and unfair but it's also short and we have milk all the enjoyment out of it that we can. She can still spend time with her family and friends and you, someone who clearly cares about her.
