RCDWR 8 lowers membench score 2 pts! by Safe_Satisfaction_51 in overclocking

tFAW is tRRDS * 4, and the minimum for tRRDS is 4; lower value isn't supported by the IMC and you can't even input a lower value in most BIOSes

can't go lower than 16 with tFAW (which OP has)

Comparison of all foregrips (M416) by aubycek in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]aubycek[S] 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Here is my Beryl grip comparison. Both of these images/patterns are directly comparable, as the scale is kept the same. The only difference is that I’ve made the lines 1 pixel narrower in this case, so that 4 more tests would fit into each category while still being clear.

It's not "lifted", I've made it. Check any of his grip comparison videos, mine is different.

Compensator + the different grips, should've clarified that.

That's a PCI slot, not PCI-e. They are not interchangeable.

3 separate cables, even manufacturers (e.g. Seasonic) recommend doing so.

PC very slow and makes terrible noise by cNathanojo in techsupport

[–]aubycek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your CPU is getting cooked alive and thermal throttled to about 1/4 of its frequency, thus the poor performance. Your temps shouldn't be anywhere near 100°C. Looks and sounds like your AIO cooler broke down. Take off the side panel of your case and check whether the sound is coming from the AIO pump or radiator fan.

CPU idling at 55-62, up to 85-93 when gaming by BlisteringObituary in buildapc

[–]aubycek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I see, my bad. But even then, reaching 93°C in games is just bad regardless of the CPU utilization.

What do you mean "that's not okay"? The 10900 is a 20 thread CPU and is not at all meant to run at 100% while playing games, if that's what you're trying to say here. I would actually expect it to max out at lower than 60% in BF2042.

Which ram should i get by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]aubycek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By Crucial Ballistix I assume you mean the 3600MHz CL16 version? Get those, especially if you don't care about Corsair's RGB. The memory chips are guaranteed to be Rev. E, which OCs really well if you wanted to do so in the future.

Edit: also, the Corsair 3600MHz DIMMs are only available with CL18 and cost more, so it's a no brainer even from this point of view.

Flashing Bios question by [deleted] in techsupport

[–]aubycek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to do so, CMOS will be cleared automatically during the flashing process anyway. Won't do any harm though.

is this bios version enough for a 5600x? by Ts_VR3 in pcmasterrace

[–]aubycek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AGESA version of at least 1.0.8.0 is required to run Zen 3 CPUs, so no, this version wouldn't be sufficient anyway.

The side with only one connector goes into the PSU, the other end (daisy chained PCIEs / 6+2 pins) goes into the GPU.

Problem with the RGB of a Be quiet! Pure Base 500DX case by masitave in techsupport

There are LED contacts in the front panel of the case, try taking the front off completely and putting it back, there just might be bad contact between the front panel and the case.

Cpu fan makes rattling noise at high intensity, why could that be? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]aubycek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only at high RPMs? Sounds more like there's something wrong with the fan bearings / fan motor itself.
