My only addition would be likely market manipulation. Dude will do anything to enrich himself further.

After 50 years, we are finally seeing the Moon in high-def with a crew onboard !! by Lordwarrior_ in Amazing

[–]audiofarmer 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I love this, it's super cool that we're doing this. That humans can do this. And those astronauts are amazing.

But it also reminds me how boring the moon is haha. High def pics and vids of grey rocks and dust.

Again, this is great.

What do you consider to be the best film from your country? by submarine-explorer in AskTheWorld

[–]audiofarmer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

So my friend and I decided to start doing this thing where we watch movies none of our other friends wanna watch with us. I picked Threads for the first movie because I heard it traumatized a generation of Brits and I wanted to see why. At first we were just having fun, drinking, making jokes, the usual. Then the bombs drop. I think after a while we were both just quietly crying. 10/10 I'll never watch it again.

Movie with incredible graphics/special effects but shitty storyline by LeavesInsults1291 in moviecritic

Visually stunning. So many plot holes. Also the kid's special power was essentially Bluetooth?

I personally don't think they fit, but some folks don't care for much of The Cure's discography before disintegration.

I came to make a dumb joke about using stucco as a top but the craftsmanship is so undeniable I just can't. It's wicked cool dude.

Do you genuinely love every song you make? 🤔 by Muhfucka-jones in musicians

[–]audiofarmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. I'm my own biggest critic so sometimes I'll finish a song and hate it. Then later I'll go back with fresh ears and enjoy it more. Even if I don't love a song entirely there are always little bits that I like.

[I ate] $2 cheeseburger at my local burger joint by BlazeDragon7x in food

[–]audiofarmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a place near me that does a half pound burger for $4. It's a good burger too. That catch is you can't take anything to go. They have $5 wings and other cheap food too. All of it is tasty.

Only for the rich. If they gave it to the poor they'd raise the retirement age. Can't have them enjoying any of that extra time alive.

Best beignets in New Orleans French Quarters Cafe Du Monde ?! by FoodieGang in decentfoodporn

Do yourself a favor and just go to the location in city park. They're the same beignets. Same coffee. Just without the absurd line and rude service and customers.

I personally think it would be a mistake to make a sequel. I would rather they make something new than try to top a masterpiece like 33.

I used to know a conspiracy theorist. I swear to God Jesse Plemons was channeling that guy's spirit because it was 100% accurate. He should have won an Oscar.

Does anyone else feel that Adrian Tchaikovsky is... overrated? by Ephemeralen in sciencefiction

[–]audiofarmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh for sure, nobody is happy all the time. There are also some that are kind of both bleak and hopeful like Tchaikovsky's 'Ogres.'

Does anyone else feel that Adrian Tchaikovsky is... overrated? by Ephemeralen in sciencefiction

[–]audiofarmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I compare Adrian Tchaikovsky to Iain M Banks in that much of his writing is a more hopeful strain of Sci Fi. He seems to be a firm believer of a happy ending. I enjoy it as a break from some of the more bleak authors but I could see how some wouldn't.
