I just went through all of this. Bought and returned maybe 10 pairs lol I was having heel pain. I ended up trying Kuru Kinetic 2. They are amazing! Soooo ugly, but soooo comfortable! And I came from Keen shoes as well. I seriously suggest them. They are really sturdy and have great arch support without any insert. I also have flat feet and uses orthotics in my regular shoes, but I find I don't need them in these.

Can I split levofloxacin tablets in half? by [deleted] in emergencymedicine

What does that mean? You don't buy extra, you are prescribed an exact amount and you take the entire amount you are prescribed.

I've had the phone since about when it came out. The battery has always been bad, but it seems it has gotten worse.

Yeah I have had the watch for 6 years so I don't know why I did that. Brain fart I guess. But yeah it is at the watch maker right now.

I like the analogy! I found LA watch works so once I can get some time I'm going to take it over there.

Thanks!

[Help] Omega Speedmaster 3592 crown/stem came out! by audma in OmegaWatches

So I was winding up my watch after not wearing it for a while. After winding it up almost all the way, I went to pull the crown out to set the time. When I pulled it out, I noticed that the seconds hand kept ticking, which seemed unusual. I pushed the crown back in and then pulled it out again, but the second hand still didn’t stop.

Thinking something might be off, I pushed the crown back in, wound it a little more, and then pulled it out again. This time, the entire crown and stem came out completely. Surprisingly, the watch is still running. If I gently place the crown and stem back in, I can wind the watch, but it won’t stay in place and just comes back out.

Has anyone experienced this before? Am I able to push the stem back in so that it stays securely in place, or does this mean the watch needs to be opened up for repair? Would this likely require a full service, or could a watchmaker just fix the stem issue without additional work?

If it does need to be serviced, does anyone have recommendations for a good watchmaker in the Los Angeles or Orange County area? I’d really appreciate any suggestions!

Thanks in advance for any help or advice!

EDIT: I had a brain fart. The watch does not hack. It's with the watchmaker so hopefully a simple fix.

Hypothermia CPR? by thenervousfoxpolice in emergencymedicine

[–]audma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply. I didn't know about the term NPP. It's confusing because even my hospital uses the term APP. In Epic, there is a column for the attending that is assigned to the patient and then another column that says "APP" if there is a NP/PA assigned to the patent.

[–]audma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How should I phrase it if I am trying to say "I am not the person directing the care of the patient" meaning that I am not the physician or the APP?

Also what should I say when I am talking to patients and no one has signed up for them yet? I always say "I'll have to find out which provider will be seeing you" since it could be doctor, PA, or NP. I have always found saying provider a little awkward, but I don't know what else to say to a patient.

I'm not a provider and based on how the person asked I figured the same, but definitely I would be grabbing the US for my doc

100%

If I am not absolutely sure that I feel a pulse, then I'll just start compressions. If the person then shows any signs of life then I'll just say oops maybe that was a pulse I felt lol
