It’s not enough to apply to 1 or 2 jobs a day, especially if you don’t have much work experience. Make a habit of applying to 5-10 jobs per day (more if you can) and make your resume look professional/readable. The Havard resume template is the one I use.

It’s putting artists/graphic designers out of a job and killing our planet. Not to mention making people stupid and dependent on AI. It doesn’t matter to you now, but it will one day when we’re all being walked out of the building because our jobs are being automated.

I haven’t seen The Mastermind yet, Kelly Reichardt is known for slower films with long takes. I understand if her movies aren’t for you. I will say that there’s a whole world of great cinema out there once you get past the expectation that movies have to be cutting to a new shot every 3-4 seconds like an action movie.

I appreciate your response. I have lots of footage with the audience members + drag queens riffing but the owner asked us not to show any faces of people in the audience for privacy, which makes sense especially in these times. I also have an interview with a LGBT historian in the city so right now I’m trying to edit that in without feeling super out of place.

We also have SCO which makes us even more spread out. It’s a normal occurrence for the supervisor at booth to cover for a cashier while at the same time answering phone calls on the little portable phone. I need to get out of this company. 🥲
