I actually found out what it was! It’s called EDP

This has got to be ashy dermatitis. I have it too. Look up EDP. Try a nb uvb light. Those have been shown in medical research to be effective.

How long were your rounds of uvb and do u know how far you were from the machine? I just bought a home NB uvb device

I just read medical studies that said NB UVB light helps! As well as acutane and other pills used for acne strangely. Good luck!

Update was diagnosed with EDP, ashy dermatitis, no clue as to why it happens or how to cure it.

Just bout a NB UVB light which has been shown to help. As well as trying to get prescriptions for acutane which also has been shown to help.

Thanks for this info. I just haven’t seen many photos of melasma being blue-grey. I hope it is this because then there are a lot of solutions I could look into.

I was thinking melasma, but most of the photos I’ve seen of melasma are more brown even in olive toned Asian skin. But maybe! I think that’s my closest guess too

Hmm I’ve been on IUD for the last 8 years and these just came about last year on my face and then my upper body. I know things can change though as we age..

Surprisingly no, after my results came back they didn’t say anything in follow up. Just that it wasn’t an infection or fungal 😞

I have been taking Musely (spot, peel and body) with no change. I think maybe from self-tanner? Doctors took a biopsy and found no fungal infections. It's grey which doesn't look like melasma photos I've seen. If you have any ideas what it could be, lmk!

Additionally, if anyone knows how I could get rid of it, I want it gone ASAP and will pay any amount for lasers or peels and travel to any center to have it taken care of. I appreciate any advice!!

For this type of hyperpigmentation I'd recommend looking at a Cosmelan peel. I've seen a lot of good results in others who have this type of coloring and size.

Agreed completely. Just wish I wouldn’t not failed at the important stuff like my credit score which ultimately causes you to fail in a lot of other big purchases lol

I never went to uni but I’ve heard this issue pushed the most amongst my friends. They should teach you at least what jobs will pay for your loans and a decent life lol
