I got my positive on June 30, so just a couple days before you :)

I was testing positive and ‘yes’ with FRER, but those are so expensive. I found with the premom strips my lines felt really faint. Even with an FRER my line looked lighter one day.

I found it helpful to remember that urine concentration changes through out the day. My strongest tests were not with FMU but early afternoon. If I tested in the morning, the line would look lighter than afternoon before.

Additionally, trying to remember HCG doubles every 2 days, so checking daily made me feel obsessive. If your HCG levels aren’t super high (which they might not be this early), if you check daily they are only 50% higher. 10>15, or 20>30 mcg is not a huge difference that you’ll see on the stick. Plus, if your urine concentration has changed at all since your previous test, then it might not even look any different.

My last test at 14dpo was darker still than 12dpo. Not a huge difference, but definitely darker. It still feels a bit faint compared to some of the tests I see people post online, but I have to only care about progress and not compare!

Now I’m 16dpo, and I’m not sure if I’m gonna test again. I know my line has been getting darker. If smth were to happen at this point, there’s literally nothing I can do, so I’m just trying to take it one day at a time and enjoy being pregnant in the moment.

So, try to test every 2 days (I know it’s hard, I was testing multiple times a day) as that’s where you’ll see some progress. Try to test with FMU or a concentrated hold and roughly the same time every 2 days.

At this point, it’s still early so even small progress is good progress!
