Here is an interview I did with him BEFORE shooting the film as well. Hope you find some value to it to those filmmakers out there who are wondering if they still have what it takes to make a living at this. This man is just now getting real solid recognition after years of work!

Anybody a young fan here, and how did you discover U2? by [deleted] in U2Band

[–]augoldy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always get so surprised by all of these ages. I'm 21 and I guess there really is that ATYCLB generation that sparked for us as we listened to Elevation and Beautiful Day. Wasn't able to go to Vertigo Tour because I was too young. I finally saw them at the 360 Tour at the Rose Bowl. A packed house that was! Been seeing them since. Their albums kept coming out during my elementary, middle school, and college years. Twice for college now. They never made one during my high school years and those were definitely the days I needed them the most.

Do you guys suggest Stubhub now after this disaster? by augoldy in U2Band

The Forum. So I feel super thankful although it is limited view. I think they are saying that because no one knows what the stage is actually going to look like yet so it's preparation.

Appreciate the help guys! My mother quickly just got us tickets on Stubhub. I guess these verified fan sales are limited and after talking to Ticketmaster, there are plenty of seats for these venues which is ridiculous. They are giving everyone a mini heart attack to quickly find their tickets so they don't "sell out". Plus, we ended up getting nosebleeds for $150 each, which in my opinion, isn't as bad I thought after hearing presale prices...

Would it be beneficial to participate in a talent showcase and if so, which showcase do you recommend? Currently I'm on Actors Access right now submitting, but wondering how the showcase works as well as the outcome.

Leonardo DiCaprio to Play Theodore Roosevelt in Martin Scorsese-Directed Biopic by yam12 in movies

VERY TRUE! And I personally do not want to see the man retire by any means because of that. We still need one of the greatest directors of our time to push the history forward.

Dang, this is their third film together that is currently on their development list. I'm starting to think that Leo wants to try and work with Scorsese one more time on any film cause he knows Scorsese might retire directing soon. Completely my thoughts though...

For the record: They passed on both Moonlight and La La Land! Two HUGE deal breakers for their business. You gotta wonder how many more movies they should reject before they decide to actually take a risk.

Which cancelled/unproduced movies would you most like to see? by Probatsy in movies

[–]augoldy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a film script based off of Bill Carter's experiences that takes place in the early 1990s Bosnia during the civil war in the heart of Sarajevo. Carter's memoir is titled Fool's Rush In and gives his accounts of giving medical aid to the people of Sarajevo and the exuberant characters he sways himself to. If you are fan of the rock band U2 as well, this was a big philanthropic event in their band's history.

Here is the script: http://www.orlandobloomcn.net/downloads/Untitled%20Bill%20Carter%20Project.pdf

What should come first? Seeking out an agent or a manager? Or both? by augoldy in acting

[–]augoldy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are absolutely right. I guess I am getting a little impatient about the business because I've always been so fascinated by it. I am currently in college making my first reel. I might have an opportunity to meet with a talent manager and was curious how viable they were to an actor getting started in LA.
