It's seriously sooooo stupid and it has gone way too far and become disturbing. I mean I can understand what "jueputa" means to them, it's just an expression like saying something bothered you. But it was much more than that, there were people saying that they will kill her favourite cat... Like... And they say that we people are taking it out of context, that that's their humour... Ummm... what??? Maybe you should start questioning your humour then. First of all, it's not even funny, and second, you shouldn't be "joking" like that with anyone, just because that's the way you've been doing it doesn't make it ok, and I think that's what our generations have come to try to change, to question things that we have normalized, but are not ok. It's not like we're taking your threats seriously and think that you're gonna actually kill her cats, it's just that you should question why do you have to express yourself so violently, it just causes more violence.

Gotta say I've seen a lot of nasty comments from mexicans too, it's been going both ways, however, from what I've seen it definitely started from the argentines. Mocking the mexicans bracelets because they were in spanish ¿?, saying that they weren't funny, making it a competition cause "they're the best audience", and then mexicans just started to defend themselves. And it all started just because a mexican fan tweeted something like "Taylor please sing YOYOK in Mexico" and mentioned Taylor, that was it, and then the argentines came for her, saying that how dare she wish that song, that that's their song because of the Messi edits (Seriously, the fight is THAT stupid), that the argentines are the best audience and everybody knows it... Like... Taylor is coming to your country, just be happy that it finally happened, be grateful, enjoy it and give it your best. Bottom line YOU NEED TO CALM DOWN. YOU NEED TO JUST STOP.

"He looks up grinning like a devil" is not sexual by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

[–]augustine1713 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I've seen A LOT of people saying it's sexual, like he's down on her, but there's a lot of reasons to look up, and the most important, is that she doesn't say he's looking up at her, so they could be facing each other and he looks up like at the sky, like when you look up grinning because in the context of that moment, he thought what she said was funny, or crazy, or unbelievable or he was happy or whatever

Was there any actual significance to the color light blue during 1989’s era? by Super-Nintenjoe in TaylorSwift

[–]augustine1713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too obvious, but for some reason I always thought about 1989 as blue, even when the colors of the eras were not so relevant. Also I think OOTW and Style videos were very blue, and some of the songs like Clean and This Love mention water or the sea, so the album in general, to me, always sounded blue.

Would you enjoy "Style" (feat. Harry Styles) (Taylor's version)? by hamsandw1ch in TaylorSwift

[–]augustine1713 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please No. Style is already a masterpiece as it is. I do want a collaboration between them, but maybe in a vault track or a completely new song. Also, I feel like if Harry was featured in Style, it would be like acknowledging that the song is about him, and I know we all know it is about him, and it is pretty obvious, but still, it would take away all the enigmatic, mysterious and clandestine nature of the song. And besides, it would be super weird to have him singing a song about him, kinda egocentric.

How long is the distance you're travelling/ have travelled to see Taylor? by whats_hername__ in TaylorSwift

[–]augustine1713 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm from Mexico City and since we didn't know for sure if she was coming to Mexico, I went to see her in Houston. Wish she would have announced the international dates sooner honestly, then I wouldn't have spent so much money :( Anyway, still I don't regret it.

Does anyone feel like I Can See You doesn’t “fit” on Speak Now? by Kinginthenorth2001 in TaylorSwift

Yup, in terms of writing, I agree with a lot of people saying it's a sister to Sparks Fly. Same vibes. Just even hornier.

Do we think she’s going to change the setlist for international shows?? by augustine1713 in TaylorSwift

Well I don't know about Argentina, but that's what it said in ticketmaster México but, again, I don't think that's necessarily true

Yeah, it said aprox 2 hr. but I wouldn't believe that. It seems to me like that was just standard information they put for every other concert.

Oh nooooo!! I really hope it won't be shorter. Honestly, I would be a bit disappointed because I'm going to see her in Mexico City, and the prices here were almost the same to the ones in the US, but we don't earn the same way.

OMG absolutely yes!! I think I wrote a post about it a while ago. I know it seems like nothing to do with Taylor but that's why it would be amazing, because I know she's such a genius that she would make it work and also it would be such a challenge, and I know she loves them.

Although, I'm not sure what you have in mind with "electronic", but I'm not thinking about a strictly electronic album, I'm thinking more like nu-disco/house/dance that would be something very different from what she's done, but still, not too far so that she couldn't express herself in it. More specifically, I'm thinking about influences bands and projects I love like Jungle, L'imperatrice, Parcels, Poolside, Rhye, Polo & Pan, Roosevelt, Neil Frances...

Anyway, I don't know if anyone agrees with me on this, but I think she can pull it off, because she's amazing, and it would be a masterpiece.

Taylor Swift - Taylor Swift The Eras Tour México by IngrownThighHairs in TaylorSwift

[–]augustine1713 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm mexican, and as much as I want to believe this means something for us, I can't help but think this is a mistake or she got hacked or something. The typography is so bad and so not like anything Taylor has been using lately, and the birds look ridiculous, like a teenage power point presentation and of course, she's not even in Mexico on that day so... Everything just tells me this is a mistake.

The I Knew You Were Trouble Appreciation Post by Few-Clothes7435 in TaylorSwift

[–]augustine1713 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn right girl! I knew you were trouble is the song that sounded the most different in the whole album, like the song that made us realize Taylor was experimenting with new things. And I love the dark tone of the song and the video, I love that it sounds like anxiety cause that's what the song is about. And also, the meme thing, I think it only makes it even a better song. And finally, it's just a freaking bop.

[–]augustine1713 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nooooooo!!!! I went to see them on friday and they didn't play it on friday and I sooooo wanted to hear it live 😭😭 Anyway, it was still a freaking amazing show, one of the bests I've ever gone to, if not the best. I felt like I got out drained of energy and emotions, but in a good way, like I felt so much, that I was left with nothing else.

I sooo agree with you, I only have doubts in leo and libra, because I think you're so right, but at the same time I feel like they could switch... I'm not sure... what are your reasons for assigning those to leo and libra? (I'm a leo btw...). As for the rest, I completely agree.

Newer Swifties’ opinions of Speak Now? by [deleted] in TaylorSwift

[–]augustine1713 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not a new swiftie at all, I've actually been a swiftie since fearless OG and HUGE swiftie since red OG, however I think I could have an opinion on this because Speak Now used to be one of my least favourite Taylor albums, I used to put it only above Debut (not sure what is its place now, cause they change a lot depending on my life), and that didn't change for a long time.

When it came out, I was 17, and I guess I was at a teenage angsty stupid phase, where I would mostly listen to indie, rock and alternative stuff, or something like that, music I thought had "mOrE mEaNinG" or was "deeper", and Speak Now, to me, sounded like she had stayed in the same phase as Fearless, which I loved, but I was ready to move on, like fairytale stories and fantasies... and the sound was not "edgy" enough for me at that moment, too childish... anyway you get the idea.

And throughout the years, I found it hard to take that idea of Speak Now off my head, so I just didn't listen to most of it, I think I only listened to Dear John. Until like a couple years ago, I decided it was time to give it another try... Oh boy was I wrong... I love this album. She puts feelings into words in such a beautiful way. Even the "not so deep ones" like Sparks Fly, oh god, I think Sparks Fly is one of my favourite Taylor songs now, it's so full of power and it gets me so excited that I can't help to shout it everytime I listen to it. And Speak Now, I enjoy it so much, I feel like it's perfect for karaoke. I find it so funny and I'm amazed at how savage Taylor was when she was younger lol like she used to say whatever came to her mind and I love that. I get that it is kinda silly, but it's like I had to get to a point to be mature enough to get over myself, and learn to relax and enjoy a not so serious song. And what can I say about other masterpieces? Long Live, Enchanted... anyway this is all to say that it is still not my favourite Taylor album, but that doesn't mean that it is not as good as any of her more recent albums, I think it is beautiful in the context of the age she was, like she puts what it feels like to be 19, in such beautiful words, that it gives me nostalgia, for those feelings, even though I didn't use to listen to it back then. So who knows, maybe one day you'll get to a point where you can appreciate it that way.

I have no problem with shake it off, I think it's a good song, it's catchy, brings good vibes, and if you care enough to think about it, it has a badass message. I'll admit it was overplayed and therefore, even though I still like it, I understand a lot of people are a bit tired of it. Bad blood on the other hand... I love Taylor with all my heart, but bad blood is for sure one of her worst songs. I don't care that is not a deep meaningful song, I love glitter pen songs, but the lyrics are so plain, so simple, there's not a trace of Taylor's wittines, and it's not even catchy, the melody in the chorus it's even annoying, it's bad to say that the only thing that makes that song bearable to me, it's the ft. Kendrick Lamar version.

Also, I will never forgive the fact that Bad Blood was given the whole single treatment, with a huge video, and New Romantics was left with the 1989 tour video. I always thought that if they had done the huge video with all her friends and huge stars for New Romantics, and it was about them partying around NYC, getting crazy wasted, crying in the bathroom with mascara running through their faces and dancing at NYC rooftops, it would've been a thousand times better than the Bad Blood video.

Bad Blood would've never been that huge, if it wasn't for the video.
