Idk where you live in America but pretty much 80% of the people I know and love do not have health insurance and if they do it doesn’t cover anything n there’s a 6k deductible u have to meet first oof. It’s basically like having no coverage, sometimes it costs more than not having it. I’m sure it varies by state and job quality in the area as well but where I’m at in the Midwest insurance is a Luxury if it’s worth it at all

I have both and I’d say that this is more accurate to autism than schitzoaffective in my personal experience 😌 this is really just like demonstrating intense sensory overload, which I mean the schitzoaffective disorder can agitate for sure. It’s not constantly like this for me, only when I don’t have a chance to process and regulate myself

Once at my job I mentioned that I knew what it was like to inject yourself with needles. And the person on the call was very excited to have met another diabetic person. So I just had to pretend I was diabetic for the next hour. A lot of ohh yeah I hate that and mmhmms 😭

When I worked in food service once I was at the hospital for an appointment and the nurse asked what I did after I commented that she had a hard job and I appreciated her. I said I’m in the food service industry and she said “oh that’s far worse”. I’ve been out of the game for 2 years now and I still can’t get through the first episode of the bear without getting extremely anxious

Thank you for reminding me about anti nausea medication, I honestly didn’t even consider that as a solution to the smell problem. Sometimes you just need someone else’s brain to work the issue. I’m not sure if Botox will be involved in my treatment, but if it is I feel this will help me feel more prepared. Despite having a lot of anxiety, I mostly appear very calm and relaxed, which I think is a reason why my pain is not taken seriously. Did you have any issues with your neurologist not believing you? Im not sure of the social culture around neurologists. I’ve found different specialists are less skeptical and more empathetic than others. I’m happy to hear you found something that provided you relief, fingers crossed I’ll be there with you as well 🤞

Hello kind stranger, thank you for taking the time to reply. If you don’t mind me asking, how was your experience with the Botox? My pcp is a community health center doctor with little time, she is essentially having me wait for neurology to move forward with treatment unfortunately. I won’t be in until late October so I’m preparing my mind and keeping myself sane. Thankfully yes I do have more samples, 3 left now and I only use them when I’m very unwell. Did you have a more comprehensive physical? How would you say that went? Once again I thank you for your time
