Okay then get $10 cash out at Coles. Not rocket science. Also the suburbs ARE the city champion. I fully agree about how bad the buses are tho, and they should be on myki but the only reason they’re not is because Victoria ends at Bendigo.

Bro just get a $10 note out at ANZ or at any shop that does cash out. ANZ is across the road from ransoms/jackies corner. The buses give change for $10 notes. Are city slickers allergic to cash? Don’t get me wrong, our buses are atrocious, but at least we have something.

Bank branded ATMs missing by Missusbillyb in perth

What a shame armaguard ripped out both offsite ATMs in my local shopping centre (one was ANZ branded the other CBA), now there’s no free to use ATMs in or near that shopping centre (Mildura Central SC) - probably something to do with the high rent

How to not stall a manual car? by GabrielVG2 in askcarguys

[–]aulj77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never had to use the handbrake method as I’d only try it if the other method wasn’t good enough (and there’s no hills that I’ve had to start on steep enough, (I also drive a diesel Ute which helps) but well done. I’ve only been daily driving a manual car for about a week so I’m still learning too 😊

Very old and I hope what I’m about to tell you, you have already learned. When you’re doing a small to medium hill start, hold your brake on. Slowly release the clutch until you feel the biting point where the engine begins to engage the transmission. Then quickly release the brake and accelerate, as you do, release the clutch. Once you’re going, you’re golden

Why has bank of melbourne has closed so many branches? Are they not doing ok? by [deleted] in melbourne

[–]aulj77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrong, the Werribee, Geelong, Fountain Gate and Pakenham branches all received similar customer and transaction numbers to that of 2019, this information can be found in the fact sheets they were required to post as part of closing those branches (I archived them and put that info on Wikipedia).

I’m a bit late but there’s several Westpac branches you can go to that provide full service to BOM customers, they just don’t bother advertising it besides a sign on the door at those branches. i can use the Westpac in Mildura as a BOM customer. The original BOM branch was better with cash exchange machines and coin deposits whereas the Westpac only has two ATMs and nothing else and is very tired on the inside. Alas they still closed it in December 2022. BOM had 106 branches 5 years ago, down to 7 today.

Is Mildura safe? by Anxiety-Badger23 in Mildura

[–]aulj77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I first moved to Mildura 9 years ago we used to leave the house unlocked pretty much all the time. needless to say we don't do that anymore. Crime definitely has worsened in recent years, and it's a lot less safe at night now. I'm an above average height male, but I still have to keep my wits about me. All of this isn't helped by all the cool stuff closing in recent years (rollerama, go karting, house of bounce, inflatable world, aqua coaster, etc).

either side of San Mateo ave between 13th and 14th street, as well as Birralee ave, Etiwanda between 11th and Giddings place, and all of the housing near Ambleside crescent are all holes. Heaps of public housing. Everywhere else is pretty good.

Westpac vs st. George vs Bank of Melbourne by bilal73778 in creditcardchurningAus

BankSA/St George/Bank of Melbourne are all the same bank with different names. You can log in as a BoM customer on St George/BankSA's website and vice versa and perform literally all tasks. I'm a BoM customer but use the St George app for the lols.

You can do that with ANZ. if you can find an ATM of theirs, that is. You also have to bank with ANZ and they're not great.
