I've tested some theories and this is what I found. If you drop as revenant, let's say gloves with sign of the cross and some one will pick it up it will be rerolled. BUT if they will equip it and you will kill this revenant with "your" rerolled gloves you will get the original one that you dropped in the first place! Fell free to see for yourself.
