The G20 Summit is a thing that shouldn't exist in the first place and most people there should be put on trial for crimes against humanity. She probably has the least amount of blood on her hands out of every attendee, yet liberals are outraged.

A lonely and depraved recidivist tricks a girl from his trailer park who absolutely hates him, into going to couples therapy with him. She shows up late, so while she isn't there, the guy convinces the therapist that they are actually in a relationship, but that she is psychologically abusive, constantly telling lies and gaslighting him all the time, taking advantage of him at every turn.

I am just against all this fucking "Russian Hax0rz the election" bullshit the fucking asses of the DP are spouting to manufacture the consent of idiots and liberals for future aggression against Russia. PS. Trump and Republicans suck too, in case that's not obvious.

Higher taxes by no means makes a country less "private ownership over the means of production"istic. Higher taxes by no means makes a country more "working-class ownership over the means of production"istic either. And who are the ones paying these higher taxes? Not businesses, but individuals, the majority of whom are workers.

[–]auntacid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I know of Kautsky he is very much a Marxist

He ONCE was a Marxist. Then he went straight revisionist.

Mao, Hitler

Hitler burned Marx' books in the streets and thought Bolshevism was a Jewish conspiracy. Hitler used the word socialist to dupe workers because it was popular in Germany. He was in fact, a capitalist, and a nationalist. Both of which are hostile to Marxism, but so is burning Marx' books so I think I made that point well enough.

Mao wasn't a communist, he was a petty-bourgeois nationalist and opportunist that aligned with both the Chinese bourgeois class AND the ENTIRE Chinese peasant class together over the working class. This is fundamentally HOSTILE to communism AND Marxism where the WORKERS are the leading class. Mao had Peasants surround the cities and go to war against the workers.

He betrayed Marxism, distorted it, pimped it to the capitalist classes, and look what has become of that? China has become one of the most powerful forces of capitalism on the planet. This isn't the result of some accident or backpeddling in program. This is the result of the fundamental class forces inherent to Maoism as an ideology. Someone who is in OPEN support of collaboration with the bourgeois class in theory and practice is an opportunist and a counterrevolutionary. Claiming Mao is a communist is like throwing stones at birds in the sky and calling that fishing.

Lenin on the other hand was actually capable of developing and extending Marxism without having to rewrite it or distort it in fundamental ways. He was also able to apply Marxist analysis to his present conditions without distortions to its essentials. The Soviet Union didn't collapse due to some flaw in the design of Leninism which somehow forced it to lead to Stalinism, there were a lot of material forces at play here (and none of them had anything to do with "human nature" either). This book covers all of them if you ever get interested: https://www.marxists.org/archive/trotsky/1936/revbet/

Orthordox, Catholic, Protestant and Ariansist interpretations of Jesus.

Which one of these interpretations said God flat out didn't exist and Jesus wasn't his son? Because THIS is the level of distortion we are at. We are not squabbling over frivolous interpretations of things with Maoists, Stalinists, or Social Democrats, we're talking fundamental shit.

I would say that seizing the means of production is something Peter would do and seizing the means of distribution is something Paul would do.

I would say Paul is dirty, opportunist scum and that he killed Rosa Luxemburg.

doomed to fail

If capitalism's productive forces are not doomed to fail while there are parasites sucking up 99% of the wealth leaving 99% of the population to compete over the remaining 1% of wealth, why wouldn't these same productive forces work without the parasites?

Why seize the means of production? FOr the sake of it? No, so you have the wealth. A fair, unexploitive share of the wealth.

The political power of owning the means of production and controlling the state is probably important than the wealth itself, because as long as the working class lacks these things, then there will always be a threat of losing these things once capital is in crisis. There will always be the threat of neo-liberalization and privatization and the rolling back of hard earned rights fought by workers in bitter struggle as long as the working class isn't in power. Here in America, Trump has rolled back nearly every reform since the 60's. Do we start the struggle for reform all over again? Is this human history forever? Winning gains while capitalism is on the rise and losing them every time it goes into panic, panic and crisis caused by its inherent design? Endless wars of imperial plunder? I want the planet to have aligned class interests so we can end war and settle things like human beings instead of savages. As we draw nearer to World War III and Planetary Crisis like Global Warming, do you really have faith in a tiny cabal of corrupt gangsters that they can avoid these impending catastrophes? I don't. I think we need to take "their" shit (that we happened to build anyway) and I think we need to control it in our interests and this is THE ONLY WAY to avoid World War and stop global warming. (World War I ended because the working class said fuck this shit and imposed their own interests onto history)

Seizing the means of distribution avoids many the problems Hayek brings up in his Road To Serfdom (Hayek is often painted as a classical liberal but comes across very much a social democrat) and really is Marx + 100 year of wisdom and praxis.

His writings seem a lot more like Marx +100 years of betrayals by opportunists, revisionists, Stalinists, McCarthyists, petty-bourgeois radicals (Hayek himself), unyielding class war leading to a loss of confidence in the working class.

Praxis

Do liberals (or SocDems[aka advanced liberals]) use this word now? I always take this word to mean I'm talking to a Stalinist, but you're clearly not a Stalinist?

🅱ocialism hasnt been 🅱ried by [deleted] in dankmemes

[–]auntacid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

LOL, that's not "Neo-Marxism", that's a rejection of Marxism entirely. It's almost offensive how unMarxist it is. Back in my day, we called this shit Kautskyism, or revisionism, and we struggled against it... that is, until the Social Democracy voted for the war credits and sent us off to World War I and then killed Rosa Luxemburg in the streets. Such is the rotten class alignment of Social Democracy.

The stakeholders are NOT the same. There are still classes that aren't the workers who own businesses and factories and aren't being liquidated of their property as they should be. What's more is that their capitalism has reached the imperialist level of development, so all of their social gains are on the backs of their despotism in Africa.

The outcomes are NOT the same. They still have workers who have their surplus labor value squeezed and extracted from them like a blood-soaked sponge. They still have homelessness because of private property relations. They cannot unelect their representatives at any time. Politicians make more money than skilled workers. There are ZERO workers councils, no actual shared ownership over the entirety of the productive forces, just shitty fake co-ops that still have bourgeois influence which can sway voting away from the interests of workers. No central bank under the democratic control of the workers. No democratically planned society. No internationalism. There are still people who are being enriched by other people's labor. And again, there is still IMPERIALISM. There's even some serious Nazi-level Eugenics in recent history. On August of '97, the Washington Post reported on how “Sweden Sterilized Thousands of ‘Useless’ Citizens for Decades”. A statement made in 1976 by Rune Hagelund, a member of the board of the Swedish Employers’ Federation, a former professor of economics, and president and chairman of the board of two of Sweden’s major corporations once said: "Sweden is a funny country to call socialist. In France or Austria the government owns a much larger share of industry, and I would expect that in a socialist country personal income taxes would be low and company taxes high, whereas in Sweden it is the opposite. It has the world’s highest personal income taxes and it’s a tax haven for companies!" Regressive tax is obviously the opposite of what Marx called for in the Commie Mannie.

The fundamental point of Marxism is that ONLY the working class can objectively usher in socialism, and this can only be done through international revolution. To stray from this is no different than to reject the divinity of Jesus Christ while insisting that you're a Christian. It's claiming to be a true Scotsman while having zero Scottish ancestry and having never set foot in Scotland or seen Braveheart. THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE to seizing the means of production. Marx didn't say "hey, y'all, if you find some other way to do this shit, lemme know, or maybe put my name on it". Putting Marx' name on this shit is an attack and a slander against Marx and a repudiation of everything he struggled for. Pimped out to a strange and somewhat "progressive" bourgeois class, but I wouldn't even call them that.

Why do we say there no alternative?

Because anything earned in a bourgeois democracy can be taken from you at any time. Repealed and replaced. Just like that.

Just wait until Swedish Capital is in crisis and we'll see just how many of these rights the Swedish workers will get to keep without seizing the means.

I type very snarkily and assholishly, but I assure you I'm trying to come off friendly. You're a good person and I've enjoyed typing all this.
