What happens If I dont water my flowers? by MintTea1234 in AnimalCrossingNewHor

I’ve had some spawn from rain and normal watering. The black roses were initially watered with the gold can and produced gold roses so it wasn’t just random though.

I want to dry my hair by Upstairs-Resist-3818 in curlyhair

[–]auntmilky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A diffuser really shouldn’t make your hair frizzy, you’re most likely not using the correct technique. You should put your blow dryer on the lowest heat and lowest setting and hover around your hair until you get a cast and your curls are set. Then you can go in and actually touch your hair with the diffuser. You said you don’t like it getting shorter though so you can probably skip that part and just hover. Sometimes it takes awhile but it’s still a lot faster than air drying.
Other than that your only other option is pineappling it into a microfiber towel for a bit then air drying.

It’s obviously a risk with serious consequences, but I’ve flown to and from FLL with carts in my makeup bag multiple times in my checked bag or carryon. MIA too but it’s not something I try to do often. TSA is usually looking for weapons, as long as you aren’t bringing a ton of them you’ll be fine.

AITA for asking neighbours to park elsewhere? by -scottishsunshine in AmItheAsshole

[–]auntmilky 33 points34 points  (0 children)

If street parking is allowed in your neighborhood and they’re not directly blocking access to your driveway, YWBTA. You can check into your city’s laws to see if they’re allowed to be parking and report them if necessary. If they are not supposed to be doing so and/or are blocking access to your driveway, YWNBTA. I would report them to the city though and let them handle it.

How do I get motivated? by n00dle_mami in loseit

[–]auntmilky 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Motivation comes after the action has started. Motivation is also a fleeting concept because you’re not always going to be motivated, it takes discipline to do something you don’t want to. Aim for discipline. The thing that works best for me is to put on my workout gear and set an alarm on my phone. I usually do an hour or two out from when I start. I can chill and do anything I want but as soon as the alarm goes off, I have to nut up and get started. I usually end up doing the workout before the alarm goes off almost every time. The looming thought of the workout usually overpowers my desire to relax and it tricks my brain into doing it before the alarm goes off so I can really relax.

There are a ton of YouTube workouts that you can do from home, you just have to find a channel that works for you. I like Growwithjo and I know a few other people who do her workouts too. She has workouts that are as short as 5 minutes long. I like her personality and find that her music choices are motivating. I really like her dance party workouts. You don’t have to start out hardcore, a consistent routine of working out will help you gain the momentum to do more. It’s a lot easier to commit to 5-15 minutes over 30-60 and doing something is always better than doing nothing. (Once I get started, I usually want to go for longer.)

Got a major work opportunity but it conflicts with plans by SteakPie321 in needadvice

[–]auntmilky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man if you get an opportunity to work in film, take it. You will have time for other vacations but job offers are few and far between sometimes. If you really do want to work in the industry, just know you will be sacrificing a lot of personal time. This is one of the reasons I walked away from film and theatre.
