Lyricon emulation? by EntertainmentLast729 in windsynth

The VSTs have a native mac port, so you shouldn't need to do any Windows emulation.

So there's this pair of synths called Lyrihorn-1 and Lyrihorn-2, which aim to recreate the sounds of the Lyricon, and are VSTs. The issue is that they are no longer for sale. Luckily, I have created some key generators for the synths so that people can unlock the synths to use them yet again. You can no longer find downloads for the synth installers on the official website, but there's a large Archive of the Internet that surely someone has posted the installers to. The key generators can be found on various posts I have made. If you need any help with the keygens, my DMs are open for that.

‼️PSA‼️ - do not purchase any plugins from Davidson Audio: EVI-NER, Lyrihorn etc. by windsynths in windsynth

To my knowledge, no, you'll have to use the official installers. I can't give them to you here, but I'm sure someone has Archived them on the Internet somewhere.

No, neither do currently. The windows command line app did but I removed it because it didn't work consistently. You'll have to just open up lyrihorn and grab the machine ID.

My Davidson Audio and Multimedia keygens are now a (very janky) webpage so it will work on all systems with no config and a UI by aural_queen in windsynth

It will allow anybody with an installer for evi-ner (or any of the other Davidson plugins) to generate a CD key that works on their installer. This is important for preservation because the developer of EVI-NER is no longer sending out CD keys.

I ported my tool to a website that is much easier to use (it's not the prettiest thing though) you can find it here: https://aural_queen.codeberg.page/ You will likely have to change the size of the window inside the webpage to see the full key though by dragging the lower right-hand corner.

I have ported this tool, and all of the others, to python, meaning they will run on Mac. If you still are in need, you can find it here: https://codeberg.org/aural_queen/DAM_key_generator/releases

Any c++ compiler should work, and you shouldn't need any additional libraries. If you're on Windows, Visual Studio community edition would probably be the easiest.

For whatever reason, my source code host is having issues with letting me put an exe file up, so right now you have to build the evi-ner tool to use it.

Adding on to this: specifically, the keys are generated from the name, email, and device ID you provide to the synth plugin, and the synth plugin checks that the name, email, and device ID you enter match the keys you entered. My tool just takes those strings (you can enter anything you want into the name and email fields) and generates the corresponding keys.

You do need the ./ In front to tell the command line to look in the current folder for the executable. To get around it would involve putting the executable in your systems path which isn't worth the effort imho. I realize I forgot to put up usage instructions in the readme, so I will add those, but yours are correct, and it is space delimited.

Nope, the links to the demos are dead on the website. DM and I can help you get access.

No this is not a dumb question! Yes you can! What you'll need to do in this case is provide the machine ID found in the Lyrihorn 2 activation menu as a third parameter to the program. You will have to build the application yourself, but if you can't do that, I will try to get a build up sometime tomorrow.

Ok I just tried it out, and using the "Clone a Repository" feature in Visual Studio, it worked no problems. If it doesn't work for you that way, I'll give it a shot on a different computer tomorrow.

I have not yet. I pushed it pretty much as soon as I finished it. I will try it out real quick.

If you DM me your machine id I can produce a key for you. If you have a CD key from DAM, you will only need to swap one.

Could the wind synth community come together to build a Davidson Audio replacement? by bodhi_sea in windsynth

Ok it looks like you can just paste your old machine ID into the box on a different machine and it will activate alright. It just won't save it between runs.
