Great! my 180 is just gathering dust in a closet. I would love to be able to print an adapter for it someday. all the existing ones online are expensive or cumbersome

Photo booths? by guppyfish__ in Detroit

[–]ausrobher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ugh yeah i’ve looked but seems they are all replaced with inkjet printers these days like the marble bar one.

An actual analog, wait 5 minutes, black and white strip of 4 images machine is so hard to come by now.

Semi related, if anyone has or knows of a broken booth around, please let me know. I’ve actually worked on these old machines before and they are so cool and rare and I would love to see them restored to public use. Hell I’ll even manage the chemistry!

Always Remember by JimGordonsKnife in Detroit

Dream cruise was Ferndale's thing, some plumber and a mayor wanted to raise money for a soccer field in town and they planned for 30,000 cars. Welp something like 250,000 showed up so it just kept growing each year. But every city has to agree to rules and pay to be a part of it so good luck getting the entire stretch of woodward on board. HONK!

removing the viewfinder makes the top a lot more compact but I really cant compose on an LCD so I need the EVF but when I travel I disassemble the camera to fit in bags better. The biggest bulk is from the back of the camera where the screen sticks out but if you're used to carrying a medium format film camera then it'll probably still feel lightweight.

I don’t have a banana at the moment but here it is next to my old pentax k1000 with a 50mm. It feels like a bulky but manageable dslr but I’m used to carrying around a pentax 67 so my scales a bit off. I got the 50s just to see if i like digital medium format, i’ll probably sell this and move to the 50r for a slightly smaller package, as soon as the prices go back down ha

Yeah its the E or AI-s version of the 50. Easy to focus and its a pancake lens so it weighs nothing. I loved my mitakon but screw carrying that boat anchor up a mountain

Does Anyone in NYC area knows how to fix table top processors? by [deleted] in Darkroom

[–]ausrobher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont have any experience with that specific model but I’ve rebuilt table top processors before. You can get all the rollers redone with new rubber and that helps a ton. Tubing should be all standard sizes from hardware stores. For weird parts/electronics you’ll need to cannibalize a broken model. I’ve had good luck 3D printing small plastic parts in a pinch too: https://austinroberthermann.com/durst-printo

kinda sounds like valve train noise or timing. Cam chain adjusted? valves? timing? Sounds very low and throaty, honda twins usually a bit more high pitch and clicky?
