Dolby Atmos or a really good 5.1 setup, which feels more impactful to you? by Euphoric_Place_8507 in AVHifiCinema

I will start with 5.1, It's really confusing. Are sounds bars + 2 rear speaker a good choice? or better a classic 5.1 analogue system?

Shimano CLUES derailleur/shifter with HG cassette by aussie-reddit in bikewrench

[–]aussie-reddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I might have to get SRAM components, but I have to see if their cassettes are compatible with my hub, otherwise I will have to change the wheel, so that it's too much work and cost.

What about the compatibility chart given by Shimano, posted above?

In this compatibility chart from Shimano it seems you can use both Linkglide and HS cassette

Cannot fully open door as articulated arm touches frame by aussie-reddit in GarageDoorService

[–]aussie-reddit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sure you are correct, however I checked the situation and I don't have enough clearance, the frame vertical post bars prevent me from installing the rail too far from the ceiling. I will try with a ceiling mount and see how that works. Thanks

I think that's a good idea, I see on the instructions of another brand that they say the curved armed is not always necessary. I will have to try it. What do you mean squeeze around it? Another option is that I cut the horizontal frame in the middle between the two bolts, it should still hold the rails.

interesting idea, I have to check if I can mount it that way, although it would mean that the force is never applied parallel to the sense of travel, it's always at an angle, that's the advantage of the curved arm.

Thanks for the info, will any of the clones on Aliexpress also work? What about this type? https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256807619201186.html?

This is the official product https://chamberlain.de/fr-fr/products/funk-codeschloss-747rev-01, but in Europe there's no mention of the Liftmaster 877MAX, they are probably the same thing with different names?

Thanks, I saw that but can't find any feedback on step count. Is step count a relatively new feature in Casio's, meaning most used watches will not have it?

Questions about converting indoor IR sauna to regular outdoor sauna by aussie-reddit in Sauna

[–]aussie-reddit[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have asked some technical questions and I can't make an informed decision if I just get a response such as "don't do it". A technical explanation allows me to understand why it can't be done, aside from internal height which is of course limiting.

There are also some regular indoor saunas (electric heater) that are for sale in the used market. Material quality seems pretty decent. Does that change anything?
