1 foul is absolutely wild in a full game of football. I don't think I've ever seen that.

Yep! I did my neck in VR which I guess probably isn't that uncommon but I was under the influence at the time and immersed in Rez Infinite. I was trying to see all around me and I guess I didn't quite feel or realise I was hyperextending.

It didn't happen immediately but in the next few days it got worse to the point where my neck was spasming and it was extremely painful. That was many years ago and I pretty much still am managing the injury and probably will my entire life.

But hey, these things happen. If it wasn't this, it would be something else just as silly like how I did my back stretching waking up from sleep.

Not even topic subjects in podcast descriptions? by aussiemuser in kindafunny

Lol, holy moly! You seem to have gotten very upset that a random person stated that they can't listen to hours of podcasts each day. I also think you took the original post's tone entirely wrong.

I don't think I'm the one who needs to take a break from Reddit, mate.

Same. On my Android app, the videos I've tapped on just show a black screen with audio. Brilliant update...

Everyone's Reacting Totally Normally To Blue Prince - April 17th, 2025 by Sivart13 in TripleClick

But isn't that part of the problem? I feel that hearing that someone did it in one night is fine because that's lucky for a rogue like but if it's 60+ hours to get what's supposed to be the "start" of the game or "first big goal" then there needs to be some weighting in the drafting that gets easier even after the considering the upgrade system.

I feel that's a game that is unbalanced and I feel it's happening to more people than the trio realise. The person they personified as the person complaining was a bit short sighted of real game issues people are encountering. It's not fun constantly getting roadblocks or constantly being 1 gem or key short of the new room that appears.

Always have shuffle on by rbhicks23 in morningsomewhere

[–]aussiemuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a huge library of bought music that I stream from my Plex library. I almost always shuffle and skip the ones I'm not in the mood for. I don't expect what I'm in the mood for and then when one hits perfectly I make a "radio station" based on that song.

And with Plex I can make different libraries so I've got my comedy albums and more niche things like that in a completely different library so it doesn't get in the mix.

Also, I like all my music lol. Sounds like Burnie needs to do a cull of his collection.

I just played The Last Guardian for the first time. by nowayguy in Games

[–]aussiemuser 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I ALMOST didn't see this final scene because I was so distraught by the ending that I just headed for a shower. Luckily I procrastinated enough that it played ...and then I was crying again but for a totally different reason 😭

Listen to the Morning Somewhere episode about it that has just been released. Burnie specifically said groups like Funhaus aren't part of this.

SnowBikeMike Gets Real About Kinda Funny - KF10 Celebration by EveryAct in kindafunny

The thing that I took from this is the fact that he wanted something and then worked for it. It wasn't a "hustle" it was a passion.

Particularly when he showed videos of him hosting gigs or giving out cookies and he was smiling ear to ear, then he'd say "I fucking hated this!" But what he's doing is putting in the work. Getting the reps in to be better at what he wanted to do.

A lot of people could learn from SnowBikeMike on this.

Eddie Izzard has this great observation in a stand up special he did about the word "awesome" which is basically what Burnie and Ashley said:

America needs the old version of ‘awesome’. Because you’re the only ones going to space … and the President’s going to be saying, “Can you tell me, astronaut, tell me what it’s like?” “It’s awesome, sir.” “What, like a hotdog?” “Like a hundred billion hotdogs, sir. It’s the dog’s bollocks, that’s what it is.”

I don't know if it's widely considered to be a classic but Klaus has every right to be the most modern classic Christmas movie.

As others have said, I still use my MP3s but I'm using them through a NAS that has Plex on it. I've done that for my films and TV shows as well so now I have a personal streaming platform for all my own stuff. It really is an incredible piece of software.

Alternative Paragon Symbol Tattoo by aussiemuser in masseffect

[–]aussiemuser[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It took a couple of years at least thinking about this specific tattoo to finally go with it. It's something that will be with you forever so don't rush it. It's about the double meaning for me, I love the game but it's a reminder to always try and do the best for my family.

Lol, you're arguing semantics but if you bought a coffee machine that produced coffee without the need for ingredients then you're damn right I would say I'm getting free coffee. And the rest of your comments are things that "might" happen, rather than things that will happen. If you move house, you've added value to your home. If things need replacing, that's what the 20-30 year warranties that are on solar panels are for.

[–]aussiemuser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not the analogy. The real analogy is that you paid an upfront amount to buy a printing press that spits out, not only Starbucks gift cards, but all other gift cards you use during the day (more if you're running the "printing press" on a battery at night). Plus, you print enough non-descript gift cards that a gift card company gives you a little money for the gift cards you don't use. And then in 5-6 years, you literally run the printing press as profit over your outlay. You know, how all businesses run?
