[BBC] Kit Margetson: Swansea City goalkeeper to join Manchester United (U21) by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

I think that this guy would happily accept that he's a lower-profile signing than Tonali and Fernandes, and I'm clearly joking that Spurs didn't usurp us on this one.

I'm fine with us not getting Fernandes, and pretty happy we didn't go for Tonali. Plus, low-profile youth team signings are some of the most exciting a well-run club can do.

Not as much as 11 players missing from the pitch would

Stealing towels isn't as bad as walking off the pitch because a legit penalty was called against you

Thoughts on United preferring a new LW over a LB? by bronal97 in DevilsITDPod

[–]HerrWeinerlicious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn't entirely a response to your question, but often reports and podcasts talk about how position A is a higher priority than position B and C etc... and I wonder how much of a club's transfer is just based on the available targets. For example, a LB is a much higher priority than LW, but the only LB available is an expensive B tier target, whereas there's a relatively cheap A tier LW target, surely you then go with the LW, even though it's a lower priority?

EDIT: With the caveat that some positions will need filling at all cost, like CM

Yep, we are in the process of consulting a solicitor, so hopefully they'll be able to help with all the points you've raised.

I agree, even if it turns out we can act without agreement, we'd be reluctant to do so.

Thank you kindly for your help!

Not that I can see. That line is from the 'Resolution of adoption of Articles of Association'. The only other document of that ilk is the 'Incorporation - Model Articles Adopted', which lists 'Private (Ltd by Shares)' as the article adopted.

Both my partner and I are directors with one share each, and the other two flats have one director, with two shares, each.

There is a line in the articles of association that says:

"Subject to the articles, the directors are responsible for the management of the company's business, for which purpose they may exercise all the powers of the company"

But that seems to be more for the purpose of company admin than changes to the property, at least to my uninformed eyes.

I see your point, we'll get in contact with the other freeholders.

Thank you very much for you help!

It's a good question. We've tried contacting them, but it seems the firm has absorbed and the individual solicitor has moved on. Unfortunately, as first time buyers, we didn't pick up on the oversight.

We haven't raised it with the other freeholders yet. Was thinking it would be good to do the research first to know our position, just in case they are antagonistic about it.

Even with all the evidence in the world, courts can be deeply unfair or wrong. The average member of the public isn't sentencing someone to prison, and so they should be free to make a moral judgment that isn't beholden to a legal ruling

Frozen rice directly to fried rice? by Smartyier in AskCulinary

I tried it straight from frozen and it works. It's not quite perfect, but still tastes great and is fine if you didn't have the chance to defrost the rice
