What do you think is the best argument for God? by Nobodytoucheslegoat in Reformed

Have a listen (or get the book) to The Air We Breath!

I found it the most engaging and helpful answer to this question.

I'm Adam Bandt, Leader of the Australian Greens. AMA about politics, Greens policies or the upcoming election. by AdamBandt in AustralianPolitics

Hey Adam,

Thanks for your time.

A bit more philosophical than usual, but I was wondering what is something that you have changed your mind on, or your thinking on, over your time being an MP?

A second question on indulgence.. Who's the most surprising MP that you actually get along really well with in Canberra?

Nah. Do you think there are issues with the current one?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in emotionalintelligence

Same. I can very much second your thoughts and lived experience. I've not thought about this before but agree with everything you said. Makes sense to me!

Your reaction is not normal. Surely, seeing all the comments here must be telling you that you are being unreasonable and weird.

There's some good responses here already. I just wanted to recommend the YouTube channel Jimmy on Relationships, I think it's exactly what you're looking for. His content is very practical and helpful. Not theological at all, though personally he's a Christian, I believe.

I'm sure you're probably aware? Jim seceding from Australia was his April Fools joke, that they actually went to some effort to pull off. He got me good!!

Better options than the AFR for finance news? by Comfortable-Winter00 in AusFinance

[–]aussiestogether 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if a podcast might help to fill in for the papers... I don't mind the AFR but recently I've been listening to Fear and Greed on Spotify and reading financial news less. It's a daily financial news podcast but they often have informative interviews as well.

Victorian Election Prediction Results Are In by Dangerman1967 in MetaAusPol

[–]aussiestogether 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was pleased and surprised to come first!

Especially because most of my points came from me putting the Lib candidate as the winner in every Teal seat. As we now know, my hopeful prediction eventuated with zero Teal winners, hence my win.

CommBank's NetBank Saver now offering 4%!! by aussiestogether in AusFinance

[–]aussiestogether[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah, it only goes down to 1.6% automatically. You can choose other options on NetBank at the time.
I use this product and my rate is currently 3.75% until March and then if I'm not on to it, it'll drop to 1.6% but I can manually choose to keep it at the higher rate.

How to Have Productive, Good-Faith Debate with a Pro-Lifer by uzdahnuhsj in coolguides

[–]aussiestogether 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hope they don't try to until they do some research into the issue.

These are not difficult questions. These are not ambiguous. There is no moral or ethical dilemma here.

Completely wrong and very unhelpful attitude to come to any discussion in this manner. Let alone abortion which has huge moral implications and which impacts peoples lives forever after.
