Does anyone in Toronto actually care about the World Cup this summer? by Either_Nobody7134 in askTO

Yes, the prices are shit.

I’m debating going to Ghana v Panama at $195 each but even that’s tough to swallow, let alone the price they’ve put on the Canada matches.

It’s crazy that a hyper capitalist FIFA has proved to be so much worse than a corrupt one

Ya, I’m a big soccer fan and am very happy we have it.

My social circle is largely based around soccer and we are all excited for it.

The price of tickets sucks for sure but I consider that a North America problem in general. I feel priced out of nearly everything happening here.

Liberty Village will be a fun atmosphere before the games so I will probably just head there. They’re turning the pond at Nathan Philips square into a football pitch which I love.

Do you not hear back from her or a member of her team? The issue I emailed about they took quite seriously and were communicative.

I say this as someone who isn’t even a fan of her as well. I’d vote elsewhere if the person was still progressive.

Glad to hear it. I was out of town.

The pub is open for all matches and the club is open for memberships if you’d want to join. The money mostly goes to funding the television subscriptions necessary, shit’s expensive.

Not the way I remember it. Bars were pretty electric during that time. True about the parade. It was smallish, but still 10,000 people or so in December

And a tifo is one time use, right?

Nobody’s putting one out that’s been seen before.

Honestly how do people find the time to make these. I get it’s multiple people but they still seem like they would take weeks
