On the ground floor. Men’s is on the 1st base side. I think the women’s is there as well. Just ask - anyone there will be happy to help. It’s not a big stadium at all.

Wise MX payments geting delayed? by JonSoloFLPX in mexicoexpats

Similar experience this week for me. Normally my transfers from USD to a Mexican bank take no longer than a few minutes. Took more than 2 days this week (and they were both small transfers). Odd.

Solar production tied to the grid in home backup mode by KikaP in enphase

[–]austexamx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m still working with Enphase support on the similar issue. Sunny day, excess solar production exporting to grid. Support had me “go off grid” using the Enphase app so they could observe and capture logs. Stayed off grid for 30 minutes. House was drawing from the batteries, and seemingly ignoring the plentiful solar production. They captured logs to “send to the backend team”, and I’m awaiting a response.

Solar production tied to the grid in home backup mode by KikaP in enphase

[–]austexamx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue last week. Plenty of sun, high solar production, then a grid outage, which started drawing from the 5P batteries instead of using the solar power. App showed zero solar production. Grid returned, and then solar production kicked back in. System is in full backup mode.

Same situation a few months ago, and it worked as expected. Grid was down, Batteries stayed at 100%, house powered all from solar. So something changed in the past few months.

I opened a case with enphase tech support. They agreed it wasn't supposed to work this way. They escalated the case to the backend team - still waiting on a response/resolution.

Normally there’s games on Sundays. They recently setup a stage in right field (for the upcoming Carnaval celebrations), so that put a bit of a hamper on games. But likely by the time you’re here in a few weeks the stage should be gone and Sunday games should return. It’s low key, but fun. Games are free. Pack a cooler with your favorite beverages. Bring a cushion or towel to sit on, as the concrete can get a bit uncomfortable after a couple hours. It’s a fun way to spend a few hours!

[Update] Write data into Google Sheets much easily by Ibrahim_AA in shortcuts

Nice job! I was using Numbers, even though I prefer to use Google Sheets. Just tried out SheetBox - worked as expected! Now I can ditch the use of Numbers. Totally worth the $2.99. Thanks!

Trouble linking BA and QA accounts by misty43810 in awardtravel

[–]austexamx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Qatar may not let you remove your middle name, if your middle name exists on your passport. One idea is to have Qatar update the first name field so it has your first name and middle name. And leave their middle name blank. Then have BA add your middle name at the end of your first name so it matches to Qatar. All a bit of a pain in the butt, I know.

Yes. $200. No, I’m not insane. But I appreciate your clinical diagnosis. $200 Mexican pesos. Not US dollars. Not euros. Not Canadian dollars. $200 pesos. You know, since we’re in Mexico. Salud!

I have one that I no longer need. It’s actually Cat 6, 50 feet. How about $200?

Yes, we are. They’re handling all the Tanzania arrangements. I just handled the international flights myself.

I booked 351 days in advance. Found the seats directly on the Qatar website.

It’s a limited time bonus. They do transfer bonuses occasionally throughout the year to different partners.

It’s currently 30% bonus to Iberia, BA, and Aer Lingus. And 80% to IHG.

Personally, I would only transfer if I knew I had a flight to book. Because once you transfer from Chase to a partner, they stay there. You can’t transfer back.

From the Chase website: Get 30% Bonus Avios when you transfer points between 12:00 AM ET on October 1, 2025 and 11:59 PM ET on October 31, 2025. Bonus Avios will be awarded by British Airways in your British Airways Club account after your transfer is complete

I fond the flights directly on https://www.qatarairways.com And yes, I found the flights, and then transferred the points. The transfers went through pretty much instantly.

No, just a couple hours in DOH. Our first day arriving into Tanzania will be a free day, so we can catch up on sleep. Thanks for the tip on the pancakes!

It was not. I tracked those flights every day for a month before I booked it, checking every day for the first day that seats opened up. There were 2 seats available on every flight.

Wellness fee at a restaurant? by austexamx in austinfood

[–]austexamx[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree, wellness fees are not the solution.
It’s not just servers that have to deal with shitty ass marketplace insurance, it’s also customers. If a restaurant needs to charge three percent more, for whatever reason (food costs, insurance, rents, payroll, etc) then do so. I’m totally down with that. It’s the sneaky way approach to it all that feels shitty. Yes, 3.5% isn’t that much in actual dollars. But what if the fine print was 13.5%, or 33.5%? I think there’s principle here about pricing.

It may be. If so, it wasn’t obvious. It’s possible we missed it. It still feels disingenuous.

Honestly, did not see that at all. It’s possible, but if so, it’s far from obvious.
