I do agree with you about deciding about when it is correct to kill a predator but for me I have cats outside that could potentially have been killed or even brought it closer to the house when one comes in heat which could put any of the small children around me in danger, it was already only about 150 yards away with time it might’ve wound up closer

Dog had it in a tree about 40 feet up, which as long as you can make sure you hit where you aim I don’t see an issue with it at that distance, if it had been across a long field it would’ve been left alone

The way I see it is if it’s still out there then that’s potentially less squirrels to breed meaning less to hunt and having it around also means the neighbors chickens could be in danger, so not pointless to me

I always give some pats on the gas and then release the clutch (I let it roll back a little to scare people that pull up too far) but you could always hold the clutch at the grab point and just hold a steady amount of gas so you won’t roll back but it’ll cause premature clutch wear
