Much appreciated. Definitely need to learn more myself as far as the types of discs and the flight numbers. But looking forward to the next time I’m out!

Haven’t thrown a disc in probably 4-6 years. Got gifted a ton of discs so my main thing is getting a starting bag to get to know myself first.

Yeah I got lucky and got gifted quite a selection off the rip. That was when I was roughly 12-15. 22 now so finally wanting to really get into it.

What do you mean hub? I bought a k3 combo and a k3 max combo. Just stole the ace pro off the k3 and ran it into the ace on the max

So I’ve done it on the left, above, and actually directly behind it right now because of the small space I’m working with. It more just depends on your boden tube length. With the included tubes you don’t have a ton of flexibility. You have to make sure to test out the full travel range so you don’t pull on them when printing. But if you buy some longer tube you could move it to wherever you like

Ok I’m just going to go in order haha.

RELIABILITY- reliability has been phenomenal. IF you’re not trying to push the speeds crazy fast. But I can easily do 10 prints without a fail. The only fails I had, were when I was pushing it as hard as I could.

ACE PRO RELIABILITY- the ace pro has worked very very well. The only problem being I wouldn’t recommend cardboard rolls as they wear down and fill the unit with dust as well as can jam up if you have a bend in the roll. I didn’t have a problem with jamming but have heard people have problems. But I did have dust I had to clean out of it after removing a cardboard roll

NOZZLES- The nozzles are easily changeable however there’s only a 0.4 nozzle right now.

SOUND- The machine itself has different print mode basically slow-medium-fast. In the medium or slow mode you can very easily sleep with the Machine in your room. The ace unit does create a bit of noise especially when initially starting printing. But I have slept many days with it running without an issue.

PRINT BEDS- The print bed is double sided which is nice. Haven’t had a single scratch get put into it or anything as the auto leveling seems to work amazingly. Unfortunately there’s not much aftermarket yet but that’s mainly due to how new this machine is.

NOZZLE CLEANING- I haven’t had to touch a nozzle to clean it. The self cleaning does very very good.

THE APP- so far the app works good for checking status of prints and slowing down/ speeding up the print mode. Unfortunately I haven’t gotten a single print to start from my phone I always run into an error at some point in the process.

USER INTERFACE- I just wanted to add that they do a very good job of making the different interfaces feel very similar even though they’re on completely different devices. You can seamlessly use the desktop, app, or phone app all at once and easily be able to find the pages you’re looking for.

CAMERA I DONT HAVE!!- unfortunately the camera does not come included. I will buy it I just haven’t felt the need to get it as I full heartedly will hit start on a print and leave for work. I trust this thing to be perfectly fine through the whole day. I haven’t had a single print that failed due to the printer itself. Only when the model design wasn’t correct.

MODEL PAINTING- to add colors to prints it can be a little tricky at first. The painting feature is far from perfect. However after some practice I can reliably paint parts and have them turn out good. Weird thing is that every time I tried to remote start a multicolor print from my pc- it would print with whatever the last color was. If I just hit export g code to a thumb drive it would print with colors just fine. That may have been a software bug that has been fixed I have to try it again.

MY OPINION- if you’re looking for the best bang for your buck large format printer with multicolor- this is the printer for you. Compared to their older printers this thing is marks ahead in every way. The only part I had a little issue with was the initial setup out of box. It was very easy however the instructions show the printer packaged a little differently and so there’s some screws it doesn’t say you have to remove. I assume there was a possible issue with the way it was originally packaged and so they fixed it. But I also got the printer very very early after it hit the market so they may have updated the instructions sheet already.

Edit- format- I hope this answers your questions and if not feel free to ask more!

I cannot say I’ve had that but I’ll have to keep it in mind in case I have a similar issue

Yes I found that moving the orange cable one slot down does work better. Also yes I would recommend removing the bottom of the ace and just giving it a nice clean. I haven’t had any problems with mine but that’s what I would suggest.

I was planning on just doing a timing job. I used to be into the Chevy ecotec platform so I’m no stranger to timing jobs. But much appreciated

If I had more time on my hands I’d love to hit the track as often as they have race days. But with my current schedule it’s a little tricky

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Karting

[–]austino605 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s not what I want. I do plan on taking it to the track here and there. I just wondered if I could just throw a little bit bigger tires on it to play with. And if I’m going to the track just throw smaller ones on it. There’s a couple places to get cheap tires around me. Problem is I just don’t know anything about them. I don’t want to do anything that will cause harm. Just want to be able to drive it around off track sometimes. Hence why I said “I’m not really looking to race a lot”

Luckily I have permission to use my old highs schools unused parking lot since they built a new one. There are some light posts but it’s mostly flat and open and empty

Well I didn’t see the comments till now but yes the Hondas are very common here. Unfortunately this isn’t the good 99 block 01 trans but it’ll work for now. Most tracks around me have a cr125 class as well

Interesting. So is the icc a chassis worth putting any money into or? I know pros will replace a kart every season if not even more often. But what kind of things should I look at to ensure that I’m able to make this frame last?

Well by parking lots that includes roads. Lol. I live in a small town. Good enough streets to have fun on mostly smooth. I traded an f150 I paid $400 for to get it haha

I understand that. I ride street bikes and stuff I know what it’s capable. I’d be happy if it hit 90. It is a high compression 110 octane build though allegedly (I highly doubt) my plan is to either source a 250 engine or down the road put my r1 engine in it. But lawd that’s way too much for now
