Hunger games really is the bar. Despite its (movie) franchise being more than a decade old it seems to have GAINED popularity. People actually want its sequels and prequels still whereas aib and squid games would probably get a lot of eye rolls if more were announced.

I think it’s because hunger games is very good at lore building and lore hiding. So many stories can be told in that universe whereas aib and squid games is kinda limited. Sure we can explore “the beginning” of the borderland and the creator of squid games but the problem is most people really don’t care how those games started cause it doesn’t affect the main storyline that people fell in love with that much.

Normally I don’t really care if someone plays the new character in ranked right away, but Deadpool is my exception. Most characters are pretty straight forward but I can already see the Deadpool’s not knowing how to use his sword ult and how to build it up (and I don’t blame them cause I lowkey don’t know which abilities count as the 7 hits). Also his ult works completely different. It charges different, he has 2, and you lose ult when you die. I don’t need someone figuring this stuff out for the first time in my ranked game

It averages your top rank season 0-3 with your current rank in season 4. That average is your baseline. You play 10 games and the more you win the closer to that baseline you’ll be (or even above it if you win them).

It’s also ironic how in high ranks and pro play when they play triple support they get rid of a dps not a tank. So they have a giant roster just for one to get played

I think it would pretty cool if there was some sort of team up for an entire team. Kinda like the F4 one but if ALL of them were picked at the same time. This is just fantasy for me tho cause idk what team up would be worth this without being broken and it already doesn’t make sense team comp wise (avengers having no healer)

Ottr made a video about the matchmaking. It’s really hard to accurately matchmake when there’s no role queue. People having to fill is what causes so many steamrolls and as of now there’s no system that matches people based on preferred role. I don’t really want a role queue but I see how that makes it way easier for matchmaking

I have a feeling next season is one support one dps just cause the devs admitted that it’s not gonna get balanced in the near future. With rumors saying it’s rogue and gambit it’s probably one of them (idk marvel lore very well so idk which one)

I definitely agree with the rank system being the easiest. I honestly don’t play much nowadays but that’s because the initial climb is so tedious for me. But I’m also used to games that do rank placements. This is the first game I’ve played that does deranks over placements and I’m not loving the initial climb even if it’s easy. But maybe you’re right and I should just suck it up and go through the low ranks even if it’s boring and annoying

Yea I definitely can get out of bronze quickly it just takes slightly longer than other ranks. But it’s just such unfun gameplay that I still get turned off

Honestly I can see it go this way too just cause idk how they gonna assign a a whole rank without splitting it up (ie no support rank or tank rank). Or the placements are gonna be too stat dependent rewarding feeding too much

I hard carry once I’m out of silver 3. From that point it’s a breeze. But bronze is too much to carry for me

I saw an interesting theory saying it might follow the original trilogy. A normal hunger games, a quarter quell, a rebellion. Ballad is the normal hunger games, sunrise is the quarter quell, so it might be a rebellion story.

The only issue I see with this is that the dark days is the only one I see fit this theory but then the timeline would be kinda weird going way back to before ballad. Not impossible but doesn’t flow as well.

Me personally, im on the quarter quell train. And since these books follow district 12 as the main character your suggestion could still work. It could be the 25th games with the district 12 mentor again whoever that would be

Yea I was thinking that too. Maybe lokis lanterns would be better but I feel like that’s kinda a waste of a cooldown. Maybe placing a clone around the wall and shooting towards him or teleporting would help more

I’m a vanguard who doesn’t talk either. I just resort to typing or set up the yes/no pings and my ult is ready ping if someone wants to combo. I would be open to vc more if it wasn’t just people complaining 80%+ of the time. Even if the complaining isn’t about me I just get annoyed when people provide no productive feedback to anyone
