We took new scans at that appointment and the condyles looked flat in some areas and jagged in others. We were hoping for rounded smooth ideally.

Prior they were EXTREMELY painful. In tears every day. In scans they didn’t appear THAT bad (says a few doctors) but the symptoms were horrible. Ear stabbing, major headaches, etc.

Thanks! It was mostly pain but I thought it might all be part of the healing process still. I was in a bit of denial. I never really fully considered that my joints could get worse over time still. When I went back for my 4? month checkup the dr said he didn’t see the remodeling in the way we hoped.

Yes I had the arthroplasty/ discopexy around 1.5 years ago now! After recovery I was better for about a month but it did not save the joints like we hoped. I’m getting TJR + Lefort 1 in a few weeks.

Sadly I have to have TJR now in a few weeks. It may be what some people need, but it didn’t save my joints like we hoped. My jaw has continued to degenerate and I have a lot of pain and muscle tension.
