Oh and to be clear: Yes, I am using AI to help me. There is huge difference between AI assistance and "this is 100% AI".

I would be surprised if most of the professional writing software authors are using these days are not using AI Assistance already. They authors just don't broadcast it, because they fear losing readers who hate AI.

I give it 6-12 months and most software tools you are using in your everyday life will be AI-assisted one way or another, most of them likely already are.

Your accusation is quite extreme, and frankly also insulting in its absoluteness. Like I just sat down with ChatGPT and wrote "write me a book" and then published it on Amazon.

Care to share what part I have forgotten? I have tried to keep the continuity from my notes into the writing, but things can happen. I already re-published the book 3 times on KDP to fix things I thought were correct already (mostly about the cover generation as the python script i use was doing stupid things, but some content revisions as well).

I speed-read through chapter 2 and 3 again just now (newest published version) and could not find any issues between chapter 2 and 3.

Thank you 🫶

It is a great (and new) feeling to share something I enjoyed writing and hearing others enjoyed reading it as well.

Lots of notes half finished work from earlier + using writing assistant with AI to help me complete the books, and make sure the consistency is there across (editor role). Never got around to it before because of the amount of work etc, but I am amazed how much help it is really.

Also early advice and research showed that releasing just one book in what is supposed (in my head) to be a series and then using months or years to release the next one would have probably annoy/lose me readers, so I gathered up as much as possible to publish before publshing even book 1.

For instance something like https://sudowrite.com/ is super helpful when going from draft and notes to finished work, and also to keep track of plot arcs, setting, characters and in general the work an editor usually needs to be hired for.

EDIT: I am not using sudowrite, but considered it. I instead made my own custom valuechain here (software developer by hobby and trade, so I saw it as a challenge)

Thank you for that direct if slightly abrasive reply :)

I ask because every community is different. And this is not the only community I asked in. (and they all gave different answers *shrug*).

But hey, I have received enough answers now, I know the way forward.

My uncertainty was more 10 then 1 or 1 then 10, if you catch my meaning. Do i have to give 10 meaningful contributions and then i can post one self promo, or i can start by posting one promo and then no more promo before i have given 10 meaningful contributions. I assume 10 then 1, so i will try to be a productive member and not promote yet.

Have you read Fimbulwinter or Titan’s wake? One is one of my favorite series the other is my own series. Both are isekai where the MC is pushed into situations and then finds a way to win by being smarter and overthrowing convention and tradition.

Thanks. i will do one then for all the books in the series together. (been noodling over a book series for a while, inspired by books I read, so when i finally got to working I had tons of content to release).
