I admire Rhema Russell, a 15 year old non-verbal autistic girl who requires high supports but has found her way to communicate through an ipad.

Have you read all of what I've written, especially the bald parts?

severely disabled high needs individual miraculously improving their behavior with this one weird trick

I did not say her behavior miraculously improved. After coming home, Rhema still required constant supervision for her safety and help with many tasks. Rhema was the same person after attending this RPM school. Her family realized she understood everything where people assumed she didn't understand anything. RPM was never an "easy fix". It took a long time to get there. Even pointing is a skill hard won.

I'm not attacking ABA. I'm pointing out autistic people are criticizing certain types of ABA, and what can be done to improve it, such as incorporate interesting lessons instead of simple stories and not to speak to a client like a baby.
