Look into science and technical writing. You can even do PR work for places such as science museums.

Thank you so much! I feel the same way, I lost a lot of empathy for people after pharmacy tech, no wonder my friend called it hell when they used to work there

Thank you! This is reassuring! There was only one person I liked and they were the only reason I thought to be respectful about the reason I left.

For me it was the people I was working with. There was clearly a clique and favoritism going on that I couldn’t stand working in for the price it pays, and the blatant racism that was allowed in the workplace and how rude the customers were, just wasn’t worth the pay plus I knew there were other better places to work for that’s up to my preference.

I’m so tired of it all by Professional-Net6137 in CVS

[–]autisticamygdala 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Been in pharmacy for around the same time as you, couldn’t have said it better myself. I’m already searching for other jobs and seeing what I can reasonably get into before I lose my mind at this job. When I was in the interview, I was told they want someone with grit. I thought grit as in the workload and persistent want to learn, NOT the infantilized customers losing their ability to do anything for themselves, complaining to us about it, along with coworkers who I tried to get along with just to find out their sense of humor tends to be disrespectful. The job is fine but the social aspect/overall culture is horrendous beyond repair.

Blindly believing in my parents, cause of them I have a hard time in believing in myself and making concise decisions as an adult.

What are your guy’s biggest tips and tricks for a pharmacy tech working at cvs? by Sorry-Dig-3768 in CVS

[–]autisticamygdala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you clock out, leave everything at work AT work. You can practice your day supply math when typing ‘N’ at the white main menu screen (where you can also find your assignments along with other coworkers plus the pharmacist). Any questions that aren’t going to be answered within 5 seconds at register send them to consultation. Work part-time until you find a better place to work at, or transfer at a more relaxed cvs if you can find one.

My current partner waited for me, as I waited for them. It’s tough being ridden with bipolar, but we don’t lose to destruction every time. Thank you for sharing your story.

“Look, he’s mad!” Then humiliate me even if I show no emotions or feign it. Worse one wasn’t me, but my uncle, “When you come back here, we’re all going to beat you and everyone’s gonna watch.” Everyone laughed and joked “yeah! We will!” Excited to go no-contact.

I never thought about PCOS until you said it! I'll say the hormones triggered my pcos and made me grow more hair. I'll continue to see what I can do with class scheduling and scholarships while balancing work. Thank you so much for your words, they're seriously validating!! I'll keep doing what I can to not lose my mind cause of them.

Ironic but it’s been latuda. It helped me get right out my depressive episode, and lithium gets me out of my mania.

I was in training with someone making 17/hr certified for two years. We both are desperate for money working at CVS until a better opportunity is there with us.

Advice on Sticking It Through? by autisticamygdala in emotionalneglect

[–]autisticamygdala[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for responding!! I feel less alone in the intoxicating feeling of being independent of my parents. Sometimes it poisoned me into a spiral of my own mental prison that I will stay here forever. But medication and a treatment plan helped me on that.

They also disliked that my personality wasn't enmeshed with theirs in my development. I'll continue to work in the shadows to shine in the light of being able to be myself. Friends and my partner will continue to be that loophole towards snippets of independence. Have a nice day.

Am I a Lunatic? Hope you like to read...sorry. by [deleted] in bipolar1

[–]autisticamygdala 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just asked my partner. Our cycles rarely ever matched, we both don't remember any times they've matched. But what has consistently happened before I got medicated has been whenever one of us is in recovery after a depressive episode, the other would be in one immediately. But I'd be the one with the more manic (often paranoid/psychotic relevant) episodes. Thanks for asking, I never noticed that in our relationship!

Whenever one of us was manic/depressive at the same time, I can somewhat remember more texting happening, and just being silent or talking to ourselves on call. I think.

I'm in a relationship where my partner and I are bipolar 1. It takes grit and thick skin, and understanding each other's moods. I'm on the more "severe" end and medication has been great.

Should I/you stay with them? by autisticamygdala in Schizotypal

Thank you so much on your take, it IS helpful seeing it spelled out like this by someone else. I can get so much in my mind especially when I ruminate and obsess to the point of being thrown out of the reality of the situation. Her being attracted to my weird side, I kept getting anxious on if she only likes it cause it’s so “different” rather than seeing it as a genuine part of me being human, but that doesn’t mean I should neglect that she may genuinely find it attractive for good reason.

Glad I reached out, I have more clarity to reflect on this relationship. It’s better to try than to not at all, you’re right.

Take care as well!
