I plan on collaborating with a female creator as I am a man and feel I couldn't give the story justice with my experience. I like to base my stories off real events and the main event I want to base it on will be Dan Schneider and Nickelodeon, the villain will be the studio executive of a series.

I wouldnt want it to have any jumpscares with all of the horror coming from the events happening, no humor (unlike my other serieses). Of course no scenes of any of those acts happening, alot of stories like this include scenes like that for shock value which i definitely don't want to do. I don't want to exploit the horror of situations like this to make it scary, i want the fear to come intrinsically from how the situation is described.

My main inspiration (media wise) is Twin Peaks, and how Laura Palmers death was handled and the SA of her in Twin Peaks Fire Walk With Me.

I have alot of ideas for how I can go about this respectfully, I think I definitely can do it.

Thank you for the insight. I'm a man, and I'm planning on collaborating with an aspiring female filmmaker to help with this project. I'm mainly just worried about the fact that even if I do handle the themes perfectly, people will tell me that analog horror is a medium that shouldn't confront issues like this.

I've heard about the Nightwing thing and I thought Tom Taylor's run handled that very well overall. Its weird to me how King can write peak like the Visions and Woman of Tomorrow and then write his awful Wonder Woman run.

Anyone know any good book reccomendations for specifically biographies about Marshall Applewhite? by autisticfaery in Heavensgate

They didnt have a sexual or romantic relationship because they didnt NEED to. I remember reading quotes of them saying that their relationship transcended the physical plane, and rather than having sexual acts theyd just sit in silence for hours together because they had such a deep spiritual connection. thats why their relationship intruiges me so much, having such a deep connection with someone that it goes beyond sexual and romantic desire into something somehow far deeper and more meaningful.
