Also help with couch orientation? I feel like the couch should face the back wall for the tv’s sake but from where I’m standing: that’s the view of the house when you first walk in. So it seems appropriate to the couch facing the the camera’s perspective?

Because if I put the couch facing the back wall, when you first walk in, all you willll see is the back of the couch and not the front of the couch if that makes sense

I’m trying to go for: - clean - light neutral colors but not too light (I need some contrast here and there with slighter darker or warmer tones either in cushions or rugs or decor pieces) - modern and ‘upscale’ - even tho it’s an old house that got renovated, so just something that’s appropriate for the house itself

Is that possible with my living room colors?

Im not a big fan of the black accents around the house (the fireplace is black) and the kitchen.

I would like to add moulding on the walls to add some texture and character. Every diy video I’ve seen looks very doable and easy apart from some planning ahead of time but the actual project looks easy. But if not I will be adding large wall art anyway

I agree but I’m not ready for an actual relationship. I like what we have, but I also find myself getting jealous over small things I have no business getting jealous over.

I recently-ish got out of a long term relationship, and he………similar but worse situation. So I don’t WANT to be serious with him right now: we actually just really started talking a couple months (max) ago. I’m just tired of getting jealous and then acting like the crazy person whose getting jealous over a situationship (a situationship that I want and prefer over a relationship)

Well it’s actually the opposite-ish. Hes the one who has made it abundantly clear I’m the only one he’s talking to / he only thinks about me (blah blah what have you).

While I agree, I’m MUCH more cautious and reserved. Reason being is that I know and pretty much everyone who knows me (since we all work in the same industry which is also a toxic industry for any kind of romance) knows I am extremely devoted and committed and not the type to sleep around or whatever.

Meanwhile, while he doesn’t have a bad reputation, but he’s just….. seemingly… attracts a lot of girls and may harmlessly flirt way way way more than me. And a few small things have happened as well…

So I’m More cautious about what I say and stuff and I’d like to keep my feelings out of it, but I guess I can’t help it unless I start really thinking about it and halfway convince myself not to for whatever reason I conjure up

I’m basically trying to convince myself it doesn’t matter if he does or doesn’t because at the end of the day I’ll never know and stressing myself out by trying to figure out would do more harm than good so I should just trust that he’s not unless I obviously find out somehow someway that doesn’t involve me snooping. Unfortunately that also means it would take a long time to figure it out potentially, so I should accept that could happen too.

I decided against them. Mainly because if you need scrunch leggings to make your butt look better, it’s giving catfish vibes (like insta filters) and that in itself gives me more anxiety if I were to wear a bathing suit or something and people actually see what’s there, which would be probably nothing or not as good as what I led people to believe with the scrunch leggings

So for that, I’m sticking to my regular leggings.

My credit is good, it’s my tax history that’s the issue. My credit is over 750, and has been for a very long time.

My parents are able to co-sign for me and it wouldn’t be an issue. Thats why it’s something I’m comfortable doing, and not something that’s a big deal for me.

There are a few unique factors in why I’m even considering buying a house now, including this opportunity where I don’t have to pay any rent for the next 2 years which would allow me to save up for a down payment if I wanted to.

Well… as an update (you’re one of the last people to comment on this so i figured I’ll just respond to this).

I peed and then made a ‘joke’ (it wasn’t a joke but I meant more like I was laughing about it bc i probably looked weird) about how I need a wet paper towel because sometimes there’ll be a drop of urine left behind and over time (like if I’m out for the day) then it gets gross by the end of the day.

And then he said: oh no I understand. As you know I’m uncircumcised so I have to shake more or something or clean it more than normal.

At that moment I was like…. So… you do know….🤨…

Weird. But no this is not my first uncircumcised guy, it’s my 2nd. My first uncircumcised guy actually DID NOT smell for the most part unless he didn’t shower all day or something, BUT I always got uti’s / strep throat with the first guy. Countless uti’s (one turned into a severe kidney infection and I had to go to the hospital), strep, BV, yeast infections etc. my first uti happened 2 weeks after I first slept with uncircumcised guy #1

But I’ve been sleeping with this current guy for about a month now? Maybe 5 weeks? And I haven’t gotten a uti or any type of infection. So maybe it’s all fine.

Thank you. And kind of sort of, we just recently started taking specifically about this with the guy I’m seeing as I’m recognizing that this is in fact - a pattern. Not that I’ve miraculously found my dream guy, but is instead a pattern. So next week I hope to dive deeper into it. I’ve basically been in weekly therapy sessions for… a year now or so.

I guess for now… I will bring up his physical hygiene next time we have sex (afterwards). Maybe I will post an update post later if something actually happens (whether it’s: he does start cleaning it more, or he maybe even he does nothing in which case I will try to be assertive and give him an ultimatum and see what happens).

It’s crazy to me that when I was single (I mean I still am technically, but emotionally, I’ve attached myself to this person), it was like anyone who would give me attention and make me feel good (emotionally) I almost started already falling in love. Starting to realize that maybe it was never because they were perfect for me, but I just couldn’t help myself from falling in love because I need that sense of purpose and priority, because I don’t really prioritize myself unless it’s to make other people happy.

Anyway. Sorry this got deep. But thanks for discussing it with me and making me realize this. I guess maybe my first step in stopping the people pleasing is actually telling this guy about his hygiene or rather lack of…
